
Mother Who Fatally Drugged Her 2 Young Daughters Dies by Suicide in Arizona Prison
Retta Cruse, a woman convicted of killing her two young daughters in 2021, died by suicide in an Arizona prison on Feb. 21, per the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry. Cruse pleaded guilty on both first-degree murder counts and was sentenced in 2022.

According to an official statement from the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR), 38-year-old Retta Cruse died on Feb. 21 "from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.”
