Baez & Mason meltdown - shoving, threatening, cursing reporters

  • #41
Obviously, on Jose $3 a day or hour budget, they are taking the bus into work each day and having to hoof it the rest of the way to the courthouse.

I don't feel sorry for the defense attorneys in the least when the media hounds them. They fought a gag order early on and have courted the media ad nauseum, but only want to talk to them on their own terms. When asked the tough questions, they behave abhorrently! They are professionals and they should be able to exhibit some self-control. They need to behave in a professional manner and this was anything but that - cursing, shoving, threatening reporters? They should be ashamed and I hope one of those reporters who got elbowed and shoved files their own suit for assault.

ITA. This DT has done absolutely nothing but whine, whine and whine some more when it comes to all of the "pre-trial" publicity. Yet time and again it was the DT faces we saw giving all of the interviews, hypocrites imho. They brought it upon themselves and therefor have not business whining about it. :twocents:

OMG - how trashy. They should know media will be out there and plan to go out another way. He could have done as he has all along and say "we will try the case in court" or "we will save our statements for court" or something along those lines. They have to know the media is not going to go easy on them especially after the tall tale they told yesterday.

How funny is Dottie saying to move faster...is she indispensible in the courtroom? So far, all I've seen her do is babysit KC during sidebars.

I have no comment re: Jose...his behavior speaks for itself

As far as Mason...I'm over his "I'm old"..."I'm a senior citizen"...just retire ya old <unusual person!>

Darn it. For some reason I can see the video, but can't hear the audio. I'm sure I'm not missing much, but I hate being left out. LOL!

Here is the video link. Enjoy the show.

Keep in mind WSer's would never, ever behave so rudely. :nono: So, enjoy the show but before hitting that submit button, preview your post. Remember to show your class and not....well, you know. ;)

I guess that he is permanently banned from posting at WS due to his potty language then? :floorlaugh:

Okay, I have just giggled my rearend off! Maybe they'll use a more discreet entrance tomorrow. :floorlaugh:

Hey, did the DT all come in the same car, or something? :waitasec:

I think they arrived in one of those clown cars after that display.

jmo, JB used his briefcase 'stroller' to trip the photographer. Will anyone ever forget when JB shoved the female reporter down when Casey was released from jail?

I'm sure I'm alone in this, but I don't think highly of this kind of "reporting", either.

The whole thing by everyone involved was pathetic.

While I totally enjoyed seeing some parts I agree. The camera guy tripped, his life is seeing out a lens, they don't always see the ground (we never want ground footage lol) BUT the guy with the microphone was just being a smartarse. You can have freedom of the press, but the press can learn some manners. <modsnip> - all of those involved except the camera man - that was an accident.

HaHA! CM plays the senior citizen card!

That wasn't a pleasant exchange. Obviously there was an accident involving JB's Pull along bag. And, Clearly there was some inappropriateness from BOTH sides.. JB swearing and CM being high falooten, but the news guys were being antagonists. However, This is only day 2 of this case. Things are going to get uglier and more emotional and I think the DT needs to remember that and should really either find a better way to get to and from the court house, or just take the reporters with a grain of salt and be less offended by them. Because this isnt the LAST we will see of them hounding the DT.
This is what they wanted...they have their celebrity and along with that come the "paparazzi". Not feeling sorry for them one bit.

Why worry about how they appear to the public now that the jury is sequestered?

When someone shows you who they are- believe them. Jose Baez and Cheney Mason have shown us time and time again who they are- I believed them the first time.

ETA: These people (all of them) found each other for a reason. Like attracts like.

Couldn't agree with you more.

There's no reason the DT couldn't have:

Gone in by another entrance. Or if they felt like using another entrance would make them look like they were "sneaking" into court (I'm giving this my most charitable interpretation here..) then there's no reason why they couldn't have just kept their mouths shut and kept on walking. It's not like these guys were paparazzi or anything.

IMHO - Many celebrities cause their own drama by reacting and behaving badly towards the media. I can assure you the media will go away if all they ever get is photos of you calmly ignoring them.

Personally, I prefer this kind of journalist over the Beth Karas text buddy method. At least this is "real" and not just lazy regurgitated can't-think-for-myself journalism.

Baez and Mason have been no better than this from the start. I had hoped for better from Sims and Freyer. Where was William? Thwarted by traffic or designated wardrobe deliverer.. :floorlaugh:

Here is the video from WFTV-shows a different beginning when the cameraman trips over JB's bag. JB you acted like a 2 yo! (except the 2 yo wouldn't drop the F bomb, I hope!) JMO
Warning-graphic language!

Jose is just plain mad. He would have been like that to anyone who crossed his path. He knows he blew it. BIG TIME.

Doesn't this remind us of something-oh yeah JB's calling GA violent by showing how he handled the crowds and press. lol Guess JB is just like GA.:floorlaugh:

They did sound like a herd of horses going down the sidewalks!:deadhorse:

Somehow I find myself more pleased each passing day with the true caliber of this "defense team". It is a well deserved and proper fit for the client.

Erm, most Courthouses have a separate entrance that the attorneys can use rather than the front entrance for the public.

Orange county courthouse has a secure entrance for attys. They chose not to use it.
