Baez & Mason meltdown - shoving, threatening, cursing reporters

Absolutely ridiculous, vulgar, disgusting, and every other vile word I can think of at this moment. No excuse for this behavior especially when they have only themselves to blame.

This DT is a perfect pairing with ICA. They all feel entitled .
Guess this media crew didn't pay any licensing fees.

While I totally enjoyed seeing some parts I agree. The camera guy tripped, his life is seeing out a lens, they don't always see the ground (we never want ground footage lol) BUT the guy with the microphone was just being a smartarse. You can have freedom of the press, but the press can learn some manners. <modsnip> - all of those involved except the camera man - that was an accident.
I finally was able to see this on TV (a number of times) and it seemed to start when the Channel 2 guy wielding both a microphone AND a huge camera was trying to slip around in front of Baez and tripped on Baez's cart that he was pulling. All the while, he also appeared to be filming. So, it looks to me like his station is operating on a reduced budget, which seems to be the new trend in 'news' reporting. Doubtful the guy would have tripped if he could have seen where he was going. So, it's Channel 2's fault for not providing a larger budget for reporting.

I think all the commotion and chaos of the reporters and film guys as the Defense Team was trying to move down the street, combined with the accidental tripping over the cart, was just a little too much for Baez and the others. And, I don't blame them.
And, the guy with just the microphone (Channel 9?), I agree, no manners, no panache, a <modsnip>.

And yet Jose STILL has that stupid smirk on his face!

Orange county courthouse has a secure entrance for attys. They chose not to use it.

He wanted the attention, so he got it.

Funniest thing I have seen, I needed the laugh after yesterday and today.
Real class, kinda like their client. Birds of a feather flock together.

If they used the other entrance there would be no flash, bam, pow. Their in victum mode and expected the confrontation because they brought a "strong-arm" (in this case "elbow") with them. They really are not good actors.

I agree the press should not be in their faces but just answering with a polite answer "I can't comment on anything at this time." The poor cameraman who tripped apologized right away and JB starts screaming at him. JB never asks if he is all right. It was an accident and JB knows better. Special arrangements were made for the media to be there did JB have a senior moment.

Why would CM involve himself in such a high profile case, which he knew it was a circus prior to joining having said so himself, and then complain about the press physically abusing him and he an elder. Remember the umbrella incident with KB. CM knows better and is enjoying every single last bit of it.

Anyone who touches you in an agressive manner is assault. I think the bodyguard went too far.

Hypothetical question: If you were planning on writing a book, how interesting do you think it would be if you snuck in the back door of courthouse to avoid the press.

wow, tensions sure were high

were they late or something? whatshername kept saying they need to move faster

the original 'wtf' by Jose was uncalled for but the one reporter was just obnoxious

in high-profile cases here, there is only one way to enter the courthouse for security reasons - lawyers, witnesses, everyone goes in the same door

No, that is not true. Judges, attorneys, jurors, witnesses always have another door to get into the courthouse that has security. You never see Judge Perry leaving from the front entrance and I'm sure his staff does not leave that way either. I would think even small local courthouses have a back door. When I had jury duty I was told to go into a separate entrance. jmo

Here is the video from WFTV-shows a different beginning when the cameraman trips over JB's bag. JB you acted like a 2 yo! (except the 2 yo wouldn't drop the F bomb, I hope!) JMO
Warning-graphic language!

Thank you so much, I never could get the WESH video to play properly, it kept stalling.

In this one, we can see it was an accident and how JB made a big deal over the trip. A concerned professional man would have asked the photographer if he was alright instead of getting angry and shouting expletives. Potty mouth, wow. Their mommies must be so proud.

Incredible. Just incredible. Next time I need an attorney, I'm calling them.

Shame, shame on everybody.

Okay, I have just giggled my rearend off! Maybe they'll use a more discreet entrance tomorrow. :floorlaugh:

Hey, did the DT all come in the same car, or something? :waitasec:

Bold mine.

Yeah, the clown car.

I think they arrived in one of those clown cars after that display.

Sorry Nikki...just posted the same thing and then got to your post. GMTA and all that stuff! :seeya:

Hmmmmm....wonder why? Could it be because they wanted to be in the middle of a media frenzy?...and then just didn't like the questions they were being asked? Maybe they thought the reporters would fawn all over them and say "way to go, yesterday, Jose"!

Did any of you notice that JB threw his pull-suit-case to the ground right after the potty mouth thing?

Hey JB what do you expect when courting the media as you have done? Use the attorney door. Also do you kiss your mother on the cheek with that potty mouth?

I would have thought the first reaction to someone tripping and falling would be to say "Are you ok?"

Well, it's the media, so maybe not. But still, couldn't Baez have just said "Please keep back for everyone's safety" or something? Vilely cursing the poor reporter trying to do his job was uncalled for and after that everyone looked foolish.

And remember, this happened less than a week after Baez halted the jury selection with his mysterious "personal matter", and when reporters asked Mason about it as he was heading to his car, he wouldn't say a word. By some, his silence was taken as a challenge; a power move. It would have been so easy to just say, "Sorry, we can't talk about it."

Sure, their nerves are toast. These guys had just finished hearing the reviews of their opening statement, and knew they were well on their way not to the celebrity status they signed up for, but to the point where the only people who would look up to them will be the ones who praise devious, lying defense attorneys for having shown "clever strategy", as Linda Kenny-Baden did on TV Tuesday night.

Karma.

You can't buy class and $3.00 a day doesn't by much. Baez and co are pathetic.

TAKE THE PRIVATE ENTRANCE <modsnip>

And who was <modsnip> in front??? And Dottie hauling butt -- funny. Next time plan better, do some work and show up early and take--what was it-- the private entrance.

GEEZE. Classless attorneys.

on HLN it was said CM has a office across street from the courthouse and all met up there and walked over together?

Oh carp! Baez bumped his head....so that is his excuse for sorry questioning on cross!

Uh what happened yesterday to cause it?
