Ballistics, firearms and firearm paraphernalia

Yes, that would be an accurate statement Carm. A double action automatic pistol like the one Oscar used is designed so that it can have a round loaded in the chamber and be safely carried without the manual safety engaged. The heavy trigger pull makes it unlikely that an accidental firing of the gun will happen.

The first shot (if the hammer is down) will be heavy and subsequent shots will have a lighter trigger pull because the slide will automatically 🤬🤬🤬🤬 the hammer.

Most double action revolvers do not have a manual safety. They rely on the heavy trigger pull as the only "safety".

Thanks Ranch......so I am assuming OP had to have pulled the trigger hard to shoot the first shot and his claims of it going of mysteriously on its own is BS....or Oscar Speak.

It sounds like BS to me. If he manually cocked the hammer the trigger pull would be lighter but he would be aware of that. He would still have to consciously pull the trigger.

I read that he had to pass a training course on the gun to be allowed to have it. Basic gun safety is you don't put your finger on the trigger until your ready to shoot.

There's no way the gun fired all by itself.

I should add that in today's litigious environment, gun manufactures don't produce guns with a "hair trigger" that will go off with a slight touch.

In fact they've gone to making the single action or "light" trigger pull weights on the heavy side (to the detriment of accuracy) to try and stem lawsuits about their products firing when not intended.

other then the murder charge what would op expect to get sentenced for the other chargers would be interested to know
1: firing a gun in restaurant
2: no licence to keep the ammo in his safe
3: firing his gun out the car sun roof
if found guilty of course
thanks
