The knife movement from the cupboard in one room to the countertop in another, if true, needs an explanation. Since a knife was needed for the cord, its possible the knife was used starting upstairs (cord fiber found in the bed) and left it on a countertop in the basement. The perp also left other items: the pen in the holder, pineapple in the kitchen, and broken paintbrush fragment in the tote.
Somehow this doesn't seem that remarkable.
RDI is however claiming the knife was 'hidden' from an intruder, similarly to claiming the blanket would be unavailable to an intruder. The idea that only JR or PR knew about the knife or the blanket is irrelevant. Anybody can open a cupboard or a dryer and thats all it would take. Go ahead and picture three intruders, and several hours of uninterrupted access to the house. Almost anything would be possible. Not too many secrets left.
Sorry, no offense holdon...but...

So, yet ANOTHER thing that the intruder didn't bring with him. Hmmmm He brought the cord...according to IDI...but, OOPS...forgot to bring something to cut it with.
Okay, the intruder was in the house for several hours, and he was in the kitchen area where the flashlight was kept, so he grabs the flashlight, but not a kitchen knife? Heck..he was in there cutting up pineapple for JB to eat (so that she wouldn't starve on her way out of the country to be married off...this is YOUR theory, remember? Why not just take the knife with him that he used to cut the pineapple with, or if not that one...another one. EVERYBODY keeps knives in the kitchen, right?? So, NOOOO...he decides to rummage through a cabinet outside of JB's room...and viola...theres Burkes knife, in the very place that LHP put it. HOW CONVENIENT. If he is not there to steal anything...and goodess knows...the Rams were millionaires...there was plenty to steal....why in the world would he want to rummage through someones cabinet...much less their clothes dryer? Nothing was stolen...remember?) The IDI theory makes less and less sense...everyday.
I will agree with you on one thing though...I believe that it is entirely possible that the knife WAS used starting upstairs...but, not by some invisible intruder. Now THAT is where we will have to agree to disagree.
