What do you believe today after seeing the documents released last night?

did anyone else notice she let Caylee sleep in the bed with her and one of the boyfriends, Mother of the Year, why would any of us doubt it?
When I read that, even tho I already had a very low oppinion of Casey, it was omg!!!

My feelings about what happened have not changed, I thought from the beginning mommy dearest was guilty and I still do, only now it's much clearer how this little baby was put in danger any time she was with the one who should have cherished her.

VB

My opinion is that our sweet angel Caylee is no longer with us. I had my doubts but after reading the documents I am convinced 100% that Casey killed Caylee. Something went terribly wrong on Father's Day. There was an argument with Cindy and George( we know this from the neighbor's testimony ), a fighting match which no doubt was about the custody of Caylee. Casey took Caylee, because in Casey's mind " if I can't have her, then nobody else will ", and of course we all know that Casey didn't want Caylee in the first place now, and there was no way she was going to let Cindy and George have her, so the only left was to get rid of the child. It's so clear now, and I think most of us are seeing this after reading the docs.

:praying: for Caylee

I choose "Casey Anthony gave Caylee away to friends & knows where she is." ONLY because what I think MIGHT be a possibilty is " Casey doesn't know where she is at ANYMORE." BUT she did give her away but she may not know exactly for sure where she is at and DOESNT CARE because she wanted to give her away!

:praying:I have not read all the documented conversations, nor all of Casey's statement...however, what I have read has not made me change my opinion in regards to Caylee's still being alive. I am one of those with the rare opinion that Caylee is alive and well with someone who loves and cares for her. Just because Casey is a liar does not necessarily mean she is a murderess. She is absolutly lying...no doubt about that...I just don't think her lies are a cover-up for murder, rather I believe that she is either covering up for herself and/or some 'friend' or group of 'friends' and their actions. I think she either saw or knew something she was involved in was going to put Caylee in harms way and therefore gave her to someone who would take her out of and away from that situation.

I am still PRAYING FOR CAYLEE every day...praying that she is safe and warm and loved.

BUT she did give her away but she may not know exactly for sure where she is at and DOESNT CARE because she wanted to give her away!

My only problem with that, and for the record I've tried to conisder you're stance before, is:

1.) Why would Casey sit in jail facing potentially more serious charges than child abandonment/neglect?
2.) Why didn't she come up with a story for her friends and her parents well before she got pinned to the wall by Cindy for answers about Caylee?
3.) How could she say "Caylee's life is in danger" while sitting in jail, then turn around days later and say that in her "gut" Caylee's still ok, and "is close to home"?

She can do all these things, I now believe, because she is changing her lies as we (and LE and everyone else) lead her with ideas of scenario's we might be willing to believe. But now the friends that were closest to her are testifying that CA is a compulsive liar and will never admit the truth even if she's confronted with it. She is, as childhood friend Ryan says, "A hard 🤬🤬*".

Ryan says he's known Casey since they were about 6 years old.
Casey tells LE the father of Caylee is someone she's known since 6-7 years of age.....

I totally believe Casey gave Caylee to someone she knows and trusts to keep her safe. I feel C&G were going haywire and she was getting scared they would take Caylee from her legally, as she gave them grounds to do that, it would seem.
I refuse to believe, in my heart, that Casey could have harmed Caylee, intentionally or otherwise. In all the documents I read, I saw that her so called friends, lovers, acquantenances(sp?) all say the same thing...she was good to Caylee. The pics tell me she was good to Caylee.
In all her tangle of lies, something stood out in her statement to LE...when the officer said he saw tears in her eyes when she said Caylee is the one thing she loves more than anything in this world. I may not have her words quoted exact, but I don't have time right this minute to go hunt for that part.
As I see it, she loves Caylee, knows she is safe and is wearing what some have called a "smug face" because she knows her nutcase parents won't be getting their hands on Caylee anytime soon.
I still believe that is why she was rounding up as much money as she could, to send Caylee away.
As for the decomp smell, I can't even venture to guess whose bod that was...
Another thought, maybe Caylee saw something that made it necessary to put her into hiding? For every "she did it" theory, I can come up with a "no she didn't"...

After reading those documents - and I'm not even finished yet - there is no doubt in my mind.

I was just thinking of starting another poll - Will Baez try to work a deal now? Casey tells where Caylee is in return for a slightly lighter sentence. It would be in his client's best interests and put an end to the massive media circus, I think. In everybody's best interests, his included. The more it drags on the more money comes OUT of his pocket.

He's just another one that Casey is robbing...

My thoughts exactly!

Except.... I think we have to factor in Casey's willingness to work WITH Baez. Will she ever agree to admit any guilt or will she stick to some lie right up to the end?

Let's face it.... for over a month, Baez has been enabling Casey just like her parents have done..... their willingness to go to the media with her CRAZY stories was a big miscalculation now that we know the extent of her lies AND her grossly negligent behavior with Caylee.

And now she has Leonard Padilla enabling her & giving her the strength to keep up the charade.

The ONLY way Casey will ever understand that she is backed into a dangerous corner is IF she's the only one in that corner. I believe as long as she has hopes that people buy her lies... she can convince herself that she still has time to think of a way out of trouble.

Frankly, I think Casey's best chance is if some new attorney steps up to represent her & DEMANDS the enabling stop ASAP. She's got to start working on a sensible defense to save her very life and stop with the idiotic lies.

This may be nothing, but i was reading the report and noticed that on page 49. Zenaida signature is misspelled and it starts out with an "C". Weird.

Ryan says he's known Casey since they were about 6 years old.
Casey tells LE the father of Caylee is someone she's known since 6-7 years of age.....

Casey told others the father was JO and he died in a carcrash on the way to Caylee's birthday party....She told the detectives in her Universal interview that "I have his obituary at home".

Casey told Mark Hopkins that she had wanted to come to california to tell him something important that her parents and brother knew but didn't know how he would take the news....(i only speculate that she was going to tell him he was the father)

pretty soon she may claim that the next-door neighbor fathered her child.

I read somewhere that Ryan said it would take the fear of God for her to tell the truth...I hope they give Casey Anthony a fair trial and the death penalty very quickly.

Thanks, Angelonline. :)

I just want to add....

Unexpectedly, I'm starting to feel a glimmer of sympathy for Casey.

I don't see ANYONE stepping up to the plate & taking charge & doing what's in HER best interests at this point.

The one who comes closest to this is LEE.... he's been brave enough to tell her that he knows she's been lying. And except for a couple of instances where he has seemed to side with Cindy & George's agenda, I think he has distanced himself from the sheer INSANITY of this Casey-circus.

I think Lee is her best hope.... maybe he can get through to her & help her see that she must try to save herself by putting an end to the very sad game she's playing.

At the end of the day.... Baez walks away & resumes his normal life. Defense lawyers get another chance even if they lose a case.

Casey only has ONE chance. Only one.

I have thought this from the beginning, she believes Caylee is alive, she doesn't believe the truth which is what LE told her that beautiful child is laying decomposing somewhere while she is at home just fine, have I mentioned lately that I am furious:furious:

Don't know the woman, am not a professional, but from what I've seen, heard and read about this situation, I really think Casey may have had a break with reality to the point where she believes what she wants to believe and is able to convince herself that it's true, on some level or the other. I think she's been lying pathalogically for a quite a while. At first it was just little ones, to get her parents off her back, to impress others, then bigger ones, to cover her mistakes, to be more important that she perceived that she really was, to get her parents off her back, to impress others, to protect herself from what she perceived to be excessive control and interference in her life.

Here's a very young woman pregnant, who doesn't want a child, but who is basically forced into it. She likes to talk which offers her lots of opportunity to lie, which she always done, but now she feels trapped living with a family, in which she has been replaced as the little princess. Perhaps, she'd pretty much always gotten her way, was able to get what she wanted, but now that changes. Her parents expect her to grow up, to not party, to not sleep around, to get a job to support herself and the baby, to put the baby first. She loves the baby, but now her parents are using the situation and their money and support to threaten her, control her behavior. They even start threatening to kick her out and get legal custody of Caylee, so she starts stealing to meet her needs, build a nestegg and as a satisfying way (on some level) to kind of stick to her familiy because she blames them for a bad situation for her. She continues to lie about working. This has generated a whole secret live, pretend jobs, pretend babysitters, pretend projects, pretend e-mails. Perhaps she starts doing drugs or progresses to a more serious form. She's always had the tendency to lie, perhaps has always had the propensity to some sort of mental illness, then something happens, something really bad. She's already living on the edge of reality. Maybe now she jumps off the cliff into the abyss.

Perhaps, embroiled in all the stree of her life, she strikes out at Caylee---in anger or jealously because of the family situation with awful consequences. More likely, there's some kind of tragic negligence or accident. Maybe the baby got some drugs which were laying around. Maybe she was left too long in the car, or drowned in a tragic accident, maybe whatever. Now the mental illness really kicks in. The baby is gone. She's really sad and sorry but she doesn't feel like it was entirely her fault, however she thinks that her family will never, ever forgive her for what is happened. All they care about it Caylee. She has to keep them from knowing. Plus, she's been living a lie, and if whatever happened comes to light, even if it was an accident, all her deception and thievery will be exposed. She won't only lose her family, she'll lose all her friends too, her new boyfriend, her old boyfriends, her best friends, her future. She knows that nobody really knows who she really is and that they probably wouldn't like her if they did. She might even go to jail, but whatever, worse than that she'd be totally disgraced and alone. She can't have that. It wasn't her fault. She didn't mean to do anything bad. She didn't do anything bad. Not really. There's a reason for everything she did. Everyone has to believe this was not her fault. She has to believe that. She'll keep hiding for right now, though. That'll giver her time. She moves forward and starts actually believing that she wasn't involved in Caylee's demise in any way, doesn't even know what happened to her. She's working on the cover story she knows she will eventually need, but not very hard. It's better to do other things and foget. Then Cindy finds her too soon before she's really settled on the final plan and what she's got so far isn't very good. So she does what she always does, she lies, she stalls. She doesn't know what else to do now that the jig might actually be up but she talks and lies so she can think and maybe comeup with something better. It's always worked before.

Listening to her mom, Cindy at the vigil the other night, I think it's still working, but she's lying to a much bigger, less invested audience this time, so it may not work all the way to a life without bars. Cindy needs to buy a clue. Caylee's mom needs help. Caylee needs to be found alive, if by some unlikely miracle she is. She deserves the justice of having the truth of her demise exposed if she's gone.

pretty soon she may claim that the next-door neighbor fathered her child.

I doubt if we'll ever know if Casey actually knew who the father was. Or cared who the father was.

We know that she considered putting the child up for adoption when she found out she was pregnant. I think it's also possible that when her mother objected to that idea, Casey decided withholding the child's paternity would be nice payback. A gift that would keep giving. lol

And once again.... we have Casey naming a Hispanic person in connection with Caylee. Her father. The nanny who 'kidnapped' her. It seems to be a pattern with Casey.

Did Cindy go ballistic when she heard the father's name? Did Casey enjoy that? Is THAT why she decided to push those buttons again with a Hispanic Nanny-kidnapper-friend?

Great post, Yolorado.

I wish someone would invite LP or maybe TP to look at our poll results. LP said on Nancy Grace last night that most people believe Caylee is alive and Casey gave her away to friends, and he said these new documents support his theory. All I could think was thats some mighty strong Kool-Aid.

(Respectfully snipped).

I think you are dead-on here. Are there any Handwriting experts on Websleuths? I studied that area several years ago and my skills are rusty but I remember enough make a couple observations.

Look at her handwritten statement on one of the recent docdrops. She lives totally in the present. There are barely any letters that extend above or drop below the middle level containing letters with no upper or lower extenders. This is a person who makes it up as she goes along.

There is virtually no slant to the writing, it is consistently straight up & down. This is a person who is totally controlling herself emotionally. Remember her comment in jail, how she couldn't cry because she had to keep herself composed to answer questions from the detectives?

There are lots of double loops on vowels. This is one of the prime indicators of a liar. IIRC, the loops on left side of vowels mean lying to oneself and the loops on the right side mean lying to others.

Any Handwriting Experts out there that could take this further? And what about examining Cindy & George's handwritten statements?

Thanks,
Soulscape

Good Idea Soulscape! Maybe you should start a thread for it. I for one would love to read about it!

Hi Angelonline,

Good idea! I have just copied the above over to a new thread called Amateur Handwriting Analysis of Casey Statement.
