BBPD at Drew's House Today 12/26/07

Welcome to WS, MaddyDecaf! Like they said, jump right in!

While I tend to agree that LE (Law Enforcement) probably isn't watching the neighborhood other than routine patrols, I do think they have a way to keep an eye on DP. We have to remember that the FBI is involved here. If they can put a tracking device on Scott Peterson, they can find a way to keep tabs on DP without his knowledge. They know he will check for obvious things, but they have other ways. : )

Thanks for the welcome! :p
My thoughts are that they're watching, but are experienced enough to know that whatever 'dirty work' he's done has already BEEN done. It's a matter of uncovering the evidence for what's been done. Naturally, he wouldn't do anything now. He already finished his 'work'! The FBI and ISP know this, too.

I get a bit exasperated when I read things about what he (and types like him) COULD do, after-the-fact. While he MAY be evil, he's hardly an idiot. he won't do anything evil from this point forward; probably quite the opposite. The only thing he COULD do, IMO ("IMO" should always be a given, btw) is off himself. And I feel he won't do that because he's a narcissist and they don't have have a history of satisfying folks like us with such good deeds. :D

Besides, he has children to "protect" to feed his narcissistic disorder. (Hey, it's important to him! And it's alllllllllllll about him!)

;)

I agree that he isn't going to be engaging in "evil deeds" at this point, but he is still quite active in covering his 🤬🤬🤬, imo. A narcissist doesn't think in terms of boundaries. He will continue to believe he can stay ten steps ahead of LE and they won't have a clue what he is up to. This is where additional surveillance unknown to him should come into play.

If it isn't clear to everyone by now, he does believe it is ALL about him and he has alluded to it a few times, I believe! The children are feeding his ego at this point. They are totally dependent on him for everything now. He is going to be the doting father who misses their mom and probably cries for her in their presence to insure they have that vision in their heads, imo.

True, SS. I had forgotten about the FBI. That gives me a little more hope. Do we know where DP is?

Hi SuziQ,

I think the kids are physically safe in his house right now -- and will be for quite some time, but only because they don't pose (in his mind) any threat to his ego, nor challenge his authority. (Let's see ... who DID challenge his authority? And where are they now?) :silenced:

Could this change? Yup. My thinking is that he's probably more-than-ever-before showering them with love and affection. He NEEDS them to believe their mom simply left the family (and to feel sorry for HIM; ie., "we're all in the same boat, kids...we need each other.") I think that's why he took them on vacation the other day.... bonding experience in that 'same boat.'

Are they psychologically safe? I doubt they've ever been, and no matter where they are, that isn't going to change without tremendous therapy. Sad as the truth is, two of them have been down this road before already.

I was actually referring to the threat from the nutcases out in our general public. Drew's house is center target for people who want to scrawl "pig" in the snow and then we have the lastest freak with the cemetary pics. The kids don't need to be near that IMO. Too many people are forgetting or don't care that his kids live there.

I don't think Drew is worried about any whackjobs because he knows he's the one responsible for Stacy's disappearance. And I also think that he's cocky enough to believe he is a cop! A protector! and no one can get to his kids. If he was a normal person, he would realize how in danger they are!

Drew may not be worried, but it doesn't lessen the real danger the kids are in.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to WS but following this case with the same curiosity as many others. Since this is my first post, is there a proper place to post an introduction? Or, is that not necessary? I did read everything in the FAQ section and didn't find this answer. Thanks!

Welcome aboard MaddyDecaf! :) No introductory threads, just jump in and start posting. It's a fascinating case!

SuzyQ, I agree, that was what I was saying too..the nutjobs out there are a threat to not only Drew's family but the neighborhood. A 4 year old would be terribly firghtened by the pics of the grave, not to mention someone being on their property at night while they were sleeping. The teens are old enough to know that nutjobs abound... I would feel uncomfortable in that neighborhood right now.
