I just hope that Becks can make MLS in the US a big thing like pro footbabll is here. And then maybe my son will make a MLS team and earn a million dollars a year and support me in my old age. :D Seriously, it is my desire to see soccer really take off in the states.

And, I guess I will be contributing to the Posh shopping fund, because I will get my son a Beckham Galaxy jersey. He has a replica of every other one that Beckham has ever had, so I am not going to stop now. Even though the Galaxy colours are "not to pretty". IMO.

Does anyone think Beckham will be able to start playing in LA before his Madrid contract runs out? There was talk of negotiations between the two clubs but I haven't heard anything lately.

Do you think he likes the Posh sideshow? I couldn't believe how many paparazzi were recording her every move shopping in LA. It's insane...but she seems to like it.

Maybe they have some sort of agreement- she shops all she wants, he does his thing. I remember the big expose about one of his affairs a couple of years ago- he used to tell his lover that his wife didn't do it for him anymore. :boohoo: After that, it seems like she became this really manic shopping, fashion machine.

I'm not sure. This is from an article I found today:

Yallop is hoping the Spanish giants can reach a resolution with Beckham to allow him to be in America for the start of the MLS season in April but believes this is unlikely."We've got him for five years so I'm not going to rush into things and panic," he said."It'd be great to have him a little earlier but I'm not sure it's going to work out."Any coach will tell you that once you build a team, you want them together as much as you can working on certain things that you need to do to win games."We knew coming into this we might only get David mid-June or July. If it changes, that'll be great but at this point we've got to just see how it pans out and how the contract sits."

Madrid apparantly does not wanting him playing for their club anymore, so I don't know why they would not let him go.

As far as "Posh", well :loser: .

But, maybe her shopping sprees are a result of his affair. He "plays", now he "pays".

I read somewhere that Madrid won't be playing him any more. I don't know if that's for spite or what, but if they won't let him play for LA, he'll just be sitting there.

That is what it said in the article that I posted above. IMO, it is for just spite. So, why don't they play him and get their money's worth or just let him buy out his contract/

ETA: Just saw this on my Comcast Home Page Top News stories:

I am still checking, but looking around a little more, I do think these prices were for some type of "package"/season deal.

For $300 you should be able to take him out for a cup of coffee after the game! ;)

For $300, I should be able to get him to bring me coffee in bed after we hit my place after the game.

Just kidding - as I've said, he is hot, but his voice and his taste in women ruin it for me.

I just want to reiterate the ONLY reason he is making so much money is because someone is making that much more money off of his talent and his name. If the owners, teams and leagues didn't make so much money off the players, then the players would never make that much money. The owners, teams and leagues are the ones that should be criticized - not the athletes. They should be entitled to a huge amount of money when those three are making obscene money off the players' talents. Without the players, there is no money to be made. Bottom line.

Over the weekend, the Beckhams bought a vacation home here in this little desert resort town. The locals are buzzing.

Jeana, if I see him on the street (assuming I recognize him), I'll tell him there's a brilliant and beautiful Amazon litigator waiting for him in Texas.

Can you imagine the paperwork? I did breast-implant litigation through much of the 90s. A Beckham divorce would put that case to shame!

The Beckhams didnt know what they were in for being friends with Tiny Tom

Cruise 'pesters Beckhams with 18 calls in an hour'

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=256055

Very interesting, narlacat. I hope the Beckhams do not give in to the snake-oil salesman.

I found this bit a bunch of crapola: But Cruise's spokesperson says the allegations aren't true. "This is completely false. Tom does not and never has encouraged anyone to adopt Scientology."

Yeah, right. :bang:
