I agree about the children! Did you hear the part about not allowing a kid to put you on a schedule etc (TMZ interview)? Small kiddos like his need a routine and a healthier environment! I think I remember hearing in other cases that Children Services wouldn't intervene unless someone called it in?? Praying someone does.
I've prayed for Charlie and his family several times over the last year as we've watched him spiral. Remember the knife to Brooke's neck? Frightening. (Clearly Brooke has her own issues, too.) This could end so badly, for him, and those around him, especially with all of his violent comments. I really wish the Aspen authorities would've violated his probation after the NY hotel trashing/drug binge. I feel bad for him and also upset with him. He will die if he continues down this path.
I agree about his manic, highstrung appearance. His mind is spinning in circles, and his thoughts often contradicted each other, but I'm sure he didn't notice! I remember about a month ago seeing someone on HLN, I think, saying he appeared to be trying to white knuckle it through his addiction. He really looked like he was jonesing in all the interviews. He looks so old and frail. I'm glad he noticed how bad he looked per his TMZ interview, but wish it had sunk in for him, rather than him blaming it on ABC intentionally giving him bad lighting! These interviews sure back up CBS/Warner Bros/Lorre in their decision, and would probably be invaluable in Martin potentially getting a conservatorship.
As a Christian, I noticed some concerning spiritual tones in his interviews too. Saying he has Adonis DNA, calling his prostitutes "goddesses", his “superhuman/beyond the terrestrial realm” comments. Did you guys hear it in his TMZ live interview when he talked about the daimon (meaning demon) in his gut, that he's learned not to go against or it causes him pain? For me, it kinda confirmed that he is sick in many ways, physically, mentally, and spiritually. He also mentioned flying through other universes (or something similar) with his goddesses on TMZ. Said he wouldn't elaborate on these points as it'd blow our little minds/beliefs apart (paraphrased). In light of his faith, I'm sure Martin Sheen noticed these comments too.
I hope his show is cancelled, and Hollywood and publishers turn a cold shoulder for a bit. I wish no more interviews are granted for awhile, until/unless he really does seek help and gain clarity/a contrite spirit. No more enabling. As gitana1 mentioned, his narcissism would twist him in a knot if he is isolated and denied an audience. Sadly, that may be the only thing that brings him to rock bottom.
If even one more interview occurs, I hope the interviewer fully takes the gloves off. I'd say, "So, in your view, a perfect life is having to repeatedly pay women younger than your oldest daughter to have sex with you, expecting immoral people to behave in a moral way while they sell you out, rotting out your teeth and prematurely aging yourself with enough drugs to potentially kill you, surrounding yourself with people who are using you and couldn’t care less about you, losing a great job, wasting your talent, attacking and alienating those who care about you, and regularly committing crimes (drug purchases, soliciting prostitution, destruction of property, battery)?"
Ask him why, if he's saying he wants to show his truth, he's still wearing some of his dental devices in his interviews. Let's see how much you've self-destructed. Part of him has to see his own desperation and destruction, right?? He's acting like he's broke now and can't support his family due to the show stoppage, instead of due to his reckless actions and ridiculous spending on debauchery. (He looks empty, and these things will never fill him.)
Ask him how he can talk about all the loser normal people with their ugly families in one breath, then call on his "beautiful fans" to rally to him in the next. To me, he's losing his humanity. Charlie, no one is less important or more important than you. If you were to walk down the street, every person you'd pass is important and special. Everyone has talents and weaknesses and a purpose, as do you.
I'm with you guys. I don't envy him. My life is so blessed and filled with those I love, and opportunities to do good for others. Nothing boring about it! It's sad he's lost the ability to find joy in the little things, and little ones. I hope he gets help. I wish for him healing; healthy, compassionate people that hold him accountable; real love; truth and inner peace; and a sense of purpose in this world. And I wish him off my TV screen.
(and finally, IMO, Big Bang Theory rocks, Charlie!)
