As a recovering alcoholic what is happening to Charlie Sheen is what happens to alcoholics/addicts when they are not in recovery. This first thing that you are taught in AA is that your choices are insanity, death, jail or recovery, those are the choices for addicts, and we can all see where Charlie is heading. As far as Denise Richards is concerned, I know exactly why she was attracted to him, addicts are very convincing, manipulating people, they show you this side of them that doesn't really exist, they only show it when they want something or see that they can use you or you provide a service for them. I was married to an addict and stayed on the crazy merry-go-round for 10 years believing that he would get better. As of this moment he's 55 years old and using again.

I agree. There is however one more choice for CS. And that's seriously injuring or even killing someone due to his violent nature. He's already come close a few times. JMO.

The only people I feel sorry for are CS's children.

The females he has married amaze me. CS is an enormous addict. There is no way either one of the females did not know he was smoking crack or main-lining. They knew his history with pornstars, drugs, alcohol, (prostitutes)Heidi Fleiss, and domestic violence.

His father has tried to do the right thing for him at every turn. I cannot imagine watching my child slowly commit suicide and being unable to stop them.

I hope he can be there for CS's children because I do not believe the exes are any more capable than Charlie at raising children or making good decisions.

Crystal, I would agree except in the case of Denise Richards. I remember her prior to her marrying him. Fresh faced beauty with no trouble in her past. I recall thinking "What is this girl doing?" At that time I do believe he was clean and sober.

There are still people out there that think they can keep people that way. Unfortunately. I think it spoke volumes when she ditched him when she was pregnant. I also absolutely think she is afraid of him. I think she almost placates him.

The poor dad is right. The poor brother. Poor Charlie. That is no sane person sitting there going on with this mess. No way.

I just keep thinking about him shooting Kelly Preston. Accident?

Hey he got kicked out of Australia for some reason. I forget why.

However, he is cute. He was eating in a local neighborhood pizza place here years ago. really small corner place. I had to take my DD to the ladies room, and she goes "Look it's Uncle Jesse". He heard and just smiled. We didn't bother him at all, but when we got outside my entire family and a few friends did stare in at him and he waved.

Naw, he wouldn't be good on that show.

One thing he said in one interview (yes I watch train wrecks) was he took drugs because they work.

The interviewer asked and he goes "Because they work". That indicates to me he self-medicated. Duh. He needs to level off.

Mind you I am no psychiatrist or addiction specialist, but I'd rule him Duel Diagnosis. Lord forgive me but seeing him ranting I was glued. It's kind of like "See, even famous people are out there".

Ohhhhhhh and he threw The Big Book. In all actuality he had a point. That's a lil scary too.

Poor Heidi Fleiss is out in no man's land with her birds and God only knows where Tom Sizemore is. Now we have this show.

I wouldn't discount his ability to play the role. He's done well in ER and other series, his range is well beyond Uncle Jessie, I think.

Hmmm. That could be interesting. I might tune back in out of curiosity. I never watched the show much, as I'm an idealist, and had an issue with a show that thinks mistreating/undervaluing women is funny. Plus, it did become clear Charlie was playing Charlie and that wasn't helping him grow as a human. Plus, it'd drive Charlie crazy and might help with reaching rock bottom.

The question is weather he was manic pre going bonkers?

It makes sense. Just my observations and not all the time, but people that use crack, meth, and all those speed ya up drugs already were big personalities. How can I put it? They're usually larger than life kinds of folks.

This as opposed to opiate users who are more the type to already be low key, and depressed. Kind of the "The world is so ugly and tragic it hurts my heart" kind of people.

Then again that's JMO.

Typical addict behavior is when he bragged about how much drugs he used. The interviewer asked if he wasn't afraid to die like that and all serious and kooky he's like "Me? Nah. I can handle all that, see cause I'm not like other people". I felt like screaming in the TV "Dude I got three people up my block saying and doing the same thing. You ain't special".

Oh did anyone notice his motions as well? Also typical of a coke user. The things he did with his hands and all. Even if he wasn't high during those interviews his nervous system is still doing the ol' raise my palms to the sky and go DUH!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to get someone help when they don't want it. I lived it, recently, and my one and only sister, who we all loved so dearly, would not get help. The only thing left was getting her committed, which would have ticked her off to no end I loved her so much, still do, but her addiction took her from us.

Please someone help this man. I totally agree that he is going to hurt someone seriously...I sure hope those baby boys are not still there. It sounds like their mother may be an addict too.
