Belize - Faye Lin Cannon, 13, brutally slain, San Pedro, 3 July 2017 *American parents arrested*

Regarding the crowd yelling at and following Anke when she left her home after being released.

I was struck by her complete lack of emotion.

If I were innocent of any wrong doing and was being wrongly accused of murdering my precious daughter, I would absolutely have responded and cracked to those people.

Her stone cold reaction is a pretty good indication to me of what is going on in her soul.

It's my opinion that we are dealing with the ultimate evil here. It breaks my heart to think of the girls and what they have been through. To think there are other monsters manipulating and abusing every day, an unspeakable number of innocent souls who will be scarred forever, and even suffer in death like Faye Lin.

The fact that she even went to the island in person, instead of sending people there for her, shows me a level of disconnect and/or narcsissim on her part. Perhaps she expected sympathy or an embracing attitude from her adopted fellow Islanders. I was shocked she did it. Furthermore I believe her "walk of shame" was to illicit feelings of pity and show others how fragile she is. She is absolutely going to play the victim card here. She makes my skin crawl.

I can't believe she was allowed into a crime scene at all, and the fact they were allowed to stay there 3 days after it happened? Things are definitely different there than the US that's for sure

Small world! Any observations or impressions? I expect she was charming. Any children visible? Husband there? Which outfit did you buy? :D Inquiring minds and all that!

The store has beautiful things. I really dont believe she designs the clothes, as I have seen similar in other places.
I saw no children or husband.
i am not tall or Thin. She Did Not Speak To me, Only To my Companions.
Snooty was My impression.

Thank-you for this.

I didn't know David Cannon was scheduled to pick up the girls July 3rd, the date of Faye's death.

Did we know this detail?

"there was a swelling to the right side of the head which appeared to be a cut wound."

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.san...igating-death-13-yearold-faye-lin-cannon/amp/

I assume the explanation
During initial investigations, Faye’s parents testified that she was mentally ill and would physically hit herself against the walls during her attacks.
was supposed to account for that head wound. :notgood:

If nothing else, she appears to be one tough woman. Not afraid of anything. Seemed pretty defiant to me. Hope this is brought to light if she tries to play the victim during her trial.

I didn't even consider the fact that they were all living in that apt for a few days after Faye Lin was found deceased which meant that there was no real crime scene investigation. Yeah...things sure are different there. :notgood:

Thanks for your impressions. She wouldn't have spoken to me either! :)

[h=2]Residents of Reggae Street tell Anke and David Doehm that their kind isn’t wanted in the neighborhood[/h]
The Doehms moved in at around 10 o’clock this morning, but neighbors want them to move out immediately, because they fear that their presence might disrupt the peace in their community.
“Right here at this blue apartment building, the lady and the man who is accused of the little girl’s death in San Pedro, is living in this area, and we, the residents of this area, are not pleased to have these people residing here,” said one man, who further commented, “We would like them to go to the Kolbe Foundation, because our life is at stake. So we would like them to get out of this neighborhood as quickly as possible. They moved in here today, and we would like them to move out tonight.”
Another woman who has lived on Reggae Street since 1989 told Amandala, “Me nuh want dey kinda people back yah, because they attract attention, and they attract things weh nuh fi happen to people.”
She claimed that the Doehms were already considered “criminals,” and so she did not want anyone seeking justice for Faye Lin Cannon, to come and “stone and shoot up in the area.”
According to her, the lives of innocent residents are now in danger in an already poorly lit community.

Well I for one wouldn't want to live with DD. Shivers. Says a lot that they are sticking together.

So the comment she made while being followed out of ferry terminal in Belize City when asked why she didn't call police and she answered I tried or I did (can't remember) led me to believe she was saying that she knew HE was doing something but no one listened. But the fact that she is still living with him tells me she's going with the Faye was mentally ill and self harming defense? Hmmmm.

When did DD make bail? Have I been asleep? It seems that they will have to find a secret place to go, if that's possible.
Seems only safe place in Belize would be on a boat.

When and where will Faye be laid to rest? Have we heard anything?

“We saw it in front of their business. They never allowed the children to go inside. The sun is hot here and these are the children – if they lean they are watching them from inside. This is how the kids were – if they get tired on this foot they put the other foot. When the sun is here they go under the Town Board office and it was the same thing for the four kids. And when it was lunch time, she went and bought four packs of bread and water and sat them on the beach on a log and gave them that to eat. And when they got upset, when the children wouldn’t want to obey them they would cut their hair way up here like man because they are little Indonesians or little Chinese kids. The woman told me that she picked them out of the garbage, and now she disposed one in the garbage.”

Residents say that the parents never integrated in the community like other expats. And while the parents allege that Faye-Lin was mentally ill, just about everyone refuted that claim. Today, San Pedranos say the parents should be jailed.
David & Anke Doehm

“I want them to send to jail and throw away that key. Rot in jail. And let them feel what it is to feel when you are raped. Let them feel it. Because it is not fair to be abusing a thirteen year old. The way she died we could have stopped it. We could have stopped it.”

Andrea Polanco
“Did anyone from the community ever approach the parents and talk to them about what was happening?”
Susana Eiley

“Those parents they were never social person. They were always mad and only looked on one side and that is the way they were growing the kids.”

David & Anke Doehm

rbbm.
I am furious at these beasts.

They have raped and murdered their child, and are free as birds.

Her face screams evil to me.

They are scheming their way out of it. Just a little set back for their perverse ways. Makes my skin crawl.

OK, I'm going to sort of "stand up" for the Doehms today. While I believe they are guilty/complicit in the death of their daughter and are guilty/complicit in the maltreatment of all or a number of their daughters, I do not know exactly what happened in Faye's death. I am willing to hold final judgement until I hear real facts. I am impatiently waiting to hear the facts!!

When I see people's comments along the lines of, "why aren't they in handcuffs?" when the Doehms are out on bail, well I begin to think that both sides are messed up.

I so badly want a rigorous trial and to hear the evidence. Is that going to be possible in Belize? Please let justice win for Faye Lin.

I agree with you Snoopster. I've observed that many people, here and in Belize and elsewhere, have little understanding of how their justice system is designed to work. On top of that, they have little to no faith in the justice system. While those feelings may be justified in some instances, the justice system is all we've got. This lack of faith when combined with ignorance about the fundamental rights of the accused can create vigilante justice. It appears that there is huge resentment in Belize against white people in general or seemingly wealthy ones. Whether "justified" or not, it's racism, and when you add racism to the mix, it's volatile. I'm not sure the Doehms can get a fair trial and no matter what we think of them, that's a fundamental right. And Faye deserves that.
