It seems to me that he came in, talked to the parents and LE, probably talked to some others, making an assessment of what likely had happened to Lisa.

It seems to me that if the result of this sort of assessment is that the baby was most likely abducted or sold or given away, the PI's services would still be needed to find that baby.

But if the result of the assessment was that the baby was most likely harmed by someone in the home, and deceased, well then there would be no need for a PI. What would be needed would be a criminal defense attorney.

I was sad after the interviews today, and am even more sad after the press conference and decisions that were announced there. Sad for Lisa.

There seems to be a finality for her in the PI leaving, and the criminal defense attorney coming in instead. It's that sense of finality that makes me so sad right now.

There's a part of me that is devastated, the rest is horrified. Lisa was lost in the fray long ago and the current actions seem to attest to that.

I guess I've interpreted his leaving differently - particularly if he's been orchestrating or urging some of these media interviews. If I was an attorney entering the case, and a PI was creating all this negative media attention for my clients, that PI would be gone ASAP. To me, him leaving looks like someone more controlled is taking over the helm of this case and is trying to dial it back a hundred notches or so.

It certainly does seem like his leaving has a certain finality to it, especially as it coincides with DB saying that she was drunk (possibly setting up her 'I can't remember' responses in a future court room) and the attorney coming in. It's about a trial now, it's no longer about Lisa from what I can see.

He is on record saying he investigated the disappearance to the point that he felt that Lisa was taken by someone outside the home. He essentially cleared Debbie and Jeremy. This guy is a private investigator and clearly can't investigate.

I think Stanton is doing it on purpose just like he keeps bringing up the 10:30 time when he knows Deb says now she doesn't know if she checked on her then. He is trying to muddy the water with the public.

BBM According to this, it is not a family member but a friend of BS who is also friends with a family member? Am I reading this correctly? I don't get that the person who hired BS is a "wealthy family member".
