bill stanton~independent investigator hired by anonymous man and woman benefactors

  • #381
Yep. My take is, Stanton rode on a white horse and said I'll help you out. The family is naive, as you say, and this is going to turn into anything BUT a search for Lisa Irwin.

I don't feel sorry for the family. Did anyone hold up pics of Lisa to the cameras last night? Is there an urgency among any of these family members to physically search for Lisa? :rage:

You said it, and I keep saying it too, why are they not taking every chance they get and get on TV and ask for the return of Lisa, get her picture out there. They are her parents, the police arent. This is how they can be proactive and what makes me scratch my head wondering what is going on with them. They seem to not be taking this serious which leads me to believe they had something to do with it.. IDK anymore. This PI guy was just blurbed on CNN, I guess story is coming up, and he just said that he is there to investigate where Lisa is.. He cant do that.

Yeah but he cant investigate anything because he isnt licensed in MO. So he really isnt a PI to them. He is more of a PR person then. I still say they need a lawyer. BAEZ... MASON... Where are you ???

*facepalm* God no, we do NOT need them in this case!!!! I've had enough of them to last a lifetime!!!! I think Baez is still in Aruba helping that guy whose wife disappeared, and I hope Mason is retired now! I sure hope if this goes to trial that the mom and/or dad gets a better lawyer. This case is starting to shape up somewhat like the Casey Anthony case in some ways, though, and that really scares me...

Does anyone else fully expect to see this case on the cover of People magazine next week, barring some huge celebrity event? It's the "Inside Story" on their website, so I believe it is in the current issue but it's not on the cover.

In the Caylee case, it always annoyed me that the case got so much media coverage AND that you knew everyone involved was just loving all the attention. I feel it will be the same way for this case. I want Lisa to get media coverage, but the thought of Bill Stanton and possibly the parents high-fiving every time the story hits the news because they are one step closer to becoming household names makes me sick.

Jeff Lanza retired FBI on CNN saying basically this guy, the PI is going to get in the way and this is another weird thing going on with this family. He is on now.

I just do not like this guy. He will cause a circus atmosphere in a case that should remain nothing but serious for Baby Lisa's sake.

MOO

Umm- Dr.Fessel- myself and The Irwins are the only ones in America without a cell phone right now-could you please call Flordia and tell them to send their best clowns?? LOL

FSU does have a circus, you know. I'm sure they could spare a few clowns.

I think that any case that gets a lot of media coverage will turn into a circus, but in this case, it's like the media (?) hired him to purposely turn it into a circus.

It was just discussed on Fox News - that hiring a PI is bad news....that he will only get in the way of things. Anything he can do----LE can do better with more resources.

I am sure neither one is licensed to practice in Missouri . . . like the levity, but WHY continue to bring that debacle up ? Dang, can't wait until we forget them!

I agree 100%. A move like this is going to destroy their relationship with the public. People are going to start accusing them of murdering their daughter, so they will stop looking for her, start putting pressure on LE to have them arrested, everything in their background will be brought to the forefront, they'll be teared apart, etc.

People are already doing that.

I am not sure what this PI can do at all, considering he is not even licensed in the state.
Totally bizarre.

I hope this guy is called before the GJ after he has met with the parents and family members.

NOt if they are focusing on the parents to the exclusion of others. At least in the parents eyes.

Remember if you are innocent and still have LE saying its you, there is going to be zero trust left for LE and what they do. None.

Especially after the "they are not cooperating" presser show.

I would jump at the chance for a PI and not even think to ask where he is licensed.

I am quoting myself here, sorry I said CNN and I meant FOX.

People are already doing that.

They were doing that when family was on TV which is why imo they stopped. what is the purpose if people think you murdered your daughter? I KNOW the purpose but it all depends..if you have a spokesperson to do it (like in many cases) then you can get a message out without people making the case about you.

Just saying how they might think. Basically damned if they do and damned if they don't

I still see nothing in their pre missing baby lives/day that suggests she did it.

With each development this feels more and more like Caylee 2.0 to me.

Poor baby Lisa is becoming a footnote in the news stories.

I might agree with you except for one thing. A PI is great to have and a great resource but this guy cannot do a thing there. They can arrest him if he starts asking questions to people. He isnt licensed in that state. They should have gotten one that could help in every way possible, not someone looking to get his name back out there. He at that point is looking at this to see what this can do for him, not what he can do for them. He is legally not allowed to be a practicing PI for them. Thats where the problem is. Even the FBI guy on TV said the same thing, he is only going to get in the way. Thats the last thing these people need.
