If this man can find Lisa or what happened to Lisa then more power to him.

I really don't care one way or another about a PI being involved. (just me).

I sure do hope someone finds her soon though!

JMHO.

Is it me, or did he come in all "gung ho," but then after meeting with LE has become a bit more subdued? Supposed to have a presser today, now it's tomorrow. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

I have to keep reminding myself that we do not know what LE has. If they took DNA from someone they must have something to want to rule someone out. JMOO

I imagine many of us had the same thought. lol
I was a bit leery of BS because of his reputation. When he seemed 'gung ho' yesterday-like you stated, i realized he could help find Lisa.

I think he toned things down after he talked with D and J.

Prehaps you're a different type of parent than me.:) Firstly, I thank the good Lord above that all my children are grown and grew up safely.

Secondly, you can daum sure bet if one of them went missing, I'd go bonkers. Failed poly, wronged accusations would never keep me from begging for my missing baby. NEVER.

Me too me too!

One more thing, you may have missed LE's last talk with the media.

LE stated that Lisa's parents were cooperating with them.

imo

Did they define cooperation? The parents should have never stopped cooperating, imo. All cooperation may mean now is that the parents have allowed LE back on the property without a search warrant. That doesn't mean LE believes the parents are telling the truth.

Wild Bill Stanton Digs Deep, Interviews Baby Lisa's Parents
snip-
Is 'Wild' Bill Stanton investigating the disappearance of baby Lisa Irwin or not? It seems the television security expert turned PI is sending mixed messages.

Although not licensed to operate as a private investigator in the state of Missouri, Stanton first announced in a televised press conference late Tuesday night that he would be doing an "independent investigation."
The following day, Stanton told media he was only consulting the Irwin family and didn't need a license to do so.

During Stanton's third day in Kansas City, he toldFOX 4's Mitch Weber that he's assembling a team of experts to help him investigate Lisa's disappearance. And on Thursday, Stanton was seen talking to Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin separately in the backyard of an Irwin family home. He later said he was conducting his own interviews with the parents.

If Stanton is operating as a private investigator without a license, it's unclear what, if any, consequences he'll face.

:waitasec: No longer acting as a PI :waitasec:but now he's a consultant.
What kind of consultant?

Kind of hints that LE might possibly have told him to back off.

imo
He said he's not a licensed PI in MO. So of course he would tell the reporter that he's not doing PI work but consulting. The reporter said they will check it out. I'm curious to know what kind of work requires a PI license in Missouri? Is it to be able to access certain information that private citizens can't see?

ATTENTION! PLEASE

I haven't been following this case closely, so I may not be in the know of what the latest developments are. But the mods who have been diligently following this case and watching the forum, have a RL and are not available. So that leaves me! :)

I've been getting a LOT of 'alerts' on this thread. People are being rude, telling others how to post and just not appropriate. There's also a great deal of concern about the parents.

As far as I know LE has NOT broadcast a POI or a suspect.

So, keeping in the spirit of Websleuths, a victim friendly forum btw, please review your recent posts and be sure your are being respectful not only to other posters but respectful to the victims of this tragic case.

IF you are unable to locate a recent post, it most likely has been removed. The mods who've been actively following this case will be reviewing and if there's any posts that can be restored, you can be sure they will handle it.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Sincerely,
fran

PS.....this post lands at random.......

On Marc Klaas's blog, there was a post that I found to be very informative about the role and rights of a PI. Let me go find the link. I believe Nurse posted it last night in the NG thread. http://theklaasact.blogspot.com/?v=0

Did ABC hire him, because they do have rights to this circus. This way they get first hand information since they are allowed to interview parents and parents have agreed that BS can be spokesperson. It's got to be ABC.

There are occasions where LE has asked that you NOT keep your crying eyes in the camera begging for your child.

If this person is twisted, he may just enjoy watching the family squirm. Its what drives him.

Let him wonder whats going on..let him wonder if Lisa's parents have an ace up their sleeves..he may just provide the slip up LE needs.

I know this is in rare instances, but we have to think outside the box. Im not saying this is the game plan in Lisa's case, but there are some cases where they bait them into making a misstep.

This was funny but the sad part is I believe it is very possible.
I do not believe that DB or JI hired this guy. I really think Im falling off the fence cause I am starting to be very sceptical. I could be wrong and I hope I am. I just dont get how/why they call in this big shot PI but not call in TES or some other search org.
I know this post is a big rambling mess but so are the thoughts running through my head. This case is so:maddening:
Where is Lisa???????? She is the getting lost in the circus act

Maybe they don't know TES exists.

Thank you for the link. Marc Klaas sure doesn't pull any punches. What I get out of his statements is that a PI license means less than the person doing the investigating. He gives some very good points about what to look for when hiring a PI. Good read for all members. MOO.

Makes perfect sense. :seeya:

What difference does it make?? They can fail all the polygraphs in the world....lie till they die, but, at the end of the day, the truth is, polygraphs are unreliable and worthless in any setting but interrogation.

Back to topic....has the new PI scheduled a presser that anyone knows of?

and your point is? i was responding to a post before mine, not making any statement as to the veracity or reliability of lie detector tests.

i would still like the father to take one.

Maybe they don't know TES exists.

You may be right! I forget if I posted about it in this thread or another, but my thing is that it's totally normal to not know about a given service until you need it...then I think your responsibility is to educate yourself, jmo.* To give an imperfect analogy, here at PSU's hospital we have a place called Ronald McDonald House where the families of kids receiving long-term intensive cancer treatment can stay for free while their kid is hospitalized on our campus. Most people have no idea this charity exists until they need it. Or think of all the people receiving treatment from a doctor or facility other than the one where they were first diagnosed or hospitalized. Or, to give a personal example, I'm going thru a divorce now, and even tho I trust my attorney I am all over the internet learning about legal issues related to my situation...and I am by no stretch of the imagination at all an educated consumer lol. I know that my opinion here is biased by the fact that I am very proactive and have been raised with the idea that we owe it to ourselves to make ourselves informed about things, but there it is, my :twocents:.

*[I realize that there are limits to this - eg., if a person is in a rural area with limited access to Internet (example in Celina Cass's town, apparently a lot of the Internet connections are dial-up, and even cell service is limited), or in the case of natural disaster or great poverty where getting to a computer or cell with Internet access isn't necessarily even on people's radar - I surely don't fault anyone for not availing themselves of resources that are just a click away for me!]
