Oh my goodness, but this brought me to tears of joy for the hope it gives some:

Two blind patients have been able to see their families again after Britain's first "bionic" eye operations.

The surgery gives new hope to sufferers of diseases affecting the retina for which there is no cure.

25 years ago i had to attend Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and they were wonderful to me then.
