I really think Bobby's sister Leolah is MI. The things she has posted the past 6+ months are just unbelievable. I don't understand the fighting about the $ because WH's will has taken care of all that. I also don't get the sweet 16 theme for a funeral :what: :dunno:

Bobby Brown, family mourn the late Bobbi Kristina at funeral

By JONATHAN LANDRUM Jr., AP

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) — R&B singer Bobby Brown emerged from the funeral of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, staring toward the ground before lifting his head up and briefly gazing at the sky.

Dressed in all black, the grieving Brown was one of the first to exit the tension-filled private service for Bobbi Kristina on Saturday at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta. Twenty-two-year-old Bobbi Kristina was the only child between Brown and the late megastar singer Whitney Houston.

Bobbi Kristina died in hospice care July 26, about six months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her townhome.

Several celebrities showed up for the funeral including filmmaker Tyler Perry, Grammy-winning R&B singer Monica and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed...

A very, very sad and excruciatingly drawn out ending for this young woman’s life—born into extreme wealth, which was fueled by the exceptional talent of her mother. But also born and raised in an environment of drug abuse and domestic violence orchestrated by her father, which apparently repeated the cycle in her short life. Very sad that she never had a chance to escape the chaos, drug abuse, and feuding—not even to form her own identity apart from the vultures who facetiously preyed on her.

Deeply saddening that the chaos, narcissistic drama, and family feuding has followed her to her funeral, and her grave. So many people want a piece of this young woman and her $$ inheritance. I’m just sickened that both sides of the family couldn’t come together in a dignified and respectful fashion to remember her, and bury her, without the drama and feuding. Whitney’s wealth is still buying the upperclass image of the fancy clothes and the nice cars both sides of the family arrived in, but none of that compensates for their obvious low class lack of character, IMO.

I realize that a funeral is for the benefit of the living, not the departed—but the whole “sweet sixteen” theme is just deeply disrespectful in this situation, IMO. All that says on the part of the planner is 2 things: you weren’t what I wanted you to be, and now I’m re-writing your history to cleanse you and make you into that person I envisioned. BK was never the sweet, innocent young girl coming of age with a sweet sixteen party and a pretty pink dress. Her short life was chaotic, and fueled with alcohol and drugs, and violence and vultures. This funeral, IMO, wasn’t about “remembering” the young woman that was BKB at all—just about how each side of the family could continue to use her memory to re-create their desired image of her (and themselves), and poke the other side of the family in the eye. (While mentally counting the dollars that are up for grabs.) IMO.

I don't care how many police escorts, and black shiny vehicles there were-- there was no dignity for BKB at that funeral, IMO. None of it was about HER, IMO. I mean, what kind of a person walks out of a funeral to hold a press conference to bi#@h, accuse, and complain?? Sad, very, very sad.

I have never even seen a 'theme' for a funeral. You might have a few favorite songs or poems and use favorite flowers and fave color theme. And I suppose for a very young child one might choose their favorite theme, IDK.

But BK was 22, died in a very tragic way, possibly murder, possibly suicide, possibly OD'd, like her Mothers tragic death. So SWEET 16 seemed a bit unrealistic and out of touch. They would have ben better off choosing something personal to her, like the love of lilies or angels , for example, and building from there.

But even so, there was no excuse for all the vitriol and angry drama. Can that family 'go away' from TV and news cams now? PLEASE?

I don't know that we can make this determination, but Leolah definitely has boundary issues, lack of self-control, and behavior that is disrespectful and inappropriate in social situations. Leolah used her niece's funeral as an opportunity to insult the Houston family, disrupting the ceremony with a histrionic exit to speak to media. Leolah Brown is living proof that money doesn't buy class, character, or common sense. :moo:

Whatever. Leolah should be ashamed of her self. She should be embarrassed. I couldn't think of any greater stab in the back to Bobbi Kristina then to pick a fight with her mom's sister at her funeral then go talk with media. Isnt the media a big no no of loyalty when your constantly in media tabloids? So wrong. She obviously wasn't there for Bobbi Kristina imo
I don't judge for the sweet 16 theam. I have yet to see pictures of the actual funeral so it really depends to what level. Maybe Bobbie Kristina always wanted a sweet 16 or it was a big deal to her growing up but frizzled out by the time she turned 16. Maybe Pat always told her shed give her a sweet 16 and never did. I know when I was younger everyone was always like oh ur sweet 16 but then I never had one. Maybe it was a small honor and tribute to her. We don't know.
Now everyone is saying now she can go be in her mothers arm. Saying she couldn't live with out her mom. So what she killed her self? If so why wasn't Nick allowed to say goodbye to her? What would she have truly want? Did he kill her? If not does he deserve all this? I dont think a guy who killed her would right a letter asking to go. I think he loved her. Their relationship was maybe toxic but I bet hes hurting. They were both kids growing up in a crazy mixed up environment. Both around drugs and I doubt Bobbie Brown is innocent with taking part in that. We all know how Whitney got addicted in the first place. Its a cycle that Bobbie Brown didn't end. He can't put that all on Nick. At some point we all have to face our responsibility of taking blame for the way things play out in our lifes. Did Bobbi Brown set the best examples and standereds? Does he have any room to act any better then Nick? Guess I've always felt Bobbie destroyed Whitney slowly and never treated her like the woman she deserved to be treated like.
This is a true tragity. I'm very sadden by the loss of this young lady who had so much to live for. I feel for Bobbi who lost his daughter but he doesn't have much room to talk with me. But my heart does goes out to him. Rip Bobbi Kristina Brown

Sweet 16 party my butt. My 16th party was putting the top down on my first car that I saved for from working and going to school at the same time to pay for. I had a full tank of gas and waved at everyone in my rearview mirror.

One of BK's problems IMO was that she did not miss enough parties. Throwing a 16th Birthday Party Theme only underlines more of this family's messed up priorities and bickering.

Post funeral reception at her aunt Pat's home turned into a celebration with Houston family members laughing and dancing on the front lawn. Very bizarre

I watched the video and I can't figure out what they are chanting. It could be the were hyped up due to something going on in the bus prior to their arrival such as a spirited religious pep talk as some families do when they praise and get their religion on. Hard to say. However, it isn't really for any of us to judge how others grieve. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Some people do celebrate life instead of grieve and mourn the loss. Some laugh and sing. I have seen it all at one time or another.

A friend of mine recently passed and her directions were simple: Cremation, no memorial or funeral, and plans for a huge party with alcohol flowing and live music playing a few months after her death so it isn't such raw emotion. Knowing her family, they will do it upright and there will be much laughter while remembering her. She wanted the party of all parties with people being happy and sharing the wonderful stories of her life. Well done, my friend!

They were chanting Krissy. I see a lot of this as media hype and a way of thumbing their noses at Browns. Family divided, they seem to be trying to outdo each other knowing they are in the eyes of the media. Whatever floats their boats I guess. Overall, their actions and words have much to be desired IMHO.
