Still Unsolved: 17 years since Jane Doe abduction and Boca Raton Town Center Mall murders
What happened to Jane Doe? An unsolved abduction case in Boca Raton remains bizarre, frightening, and now riding on a renewed wave of intrigue.

The crime in the link above was connected to the Boca Raton mall shooter during a video I watched on YouTube, I'm sure it was a William Phelps show, but not sure. I made an observation between Matthew Muller of the Gone Girl kidnapping and the case above. Is there any way we can find out where Muller was in 2007? Below is a full email I sent to Crime Stoppers in Florida.
Tip Submission: Possible Connection Between Matthew Muller and 2007 Boca Raton Mall Shooting
I believe there may be a significant connection between Matthew Muller and the unsolved 2007 Boca Raton Mall shooter case. Several key elements of that crime strongly resemble methods used by Muller in his confirmed criminal acts, notably the kidnapping of Denise Huskins.
Specifically:
Use of Restraints: Both the Boca Raton case and Muller's known crimes involved the use of black zip ties to restrain victims.
Visual Obstruction: Victims in both cases were forced to wear blacked-out swim goggles — an uncommon but identical tactic.
Military Tactics/Appearance: Witness sketches and stills of the Boca Raton suspect describe someone with a military bearing and appearance. Matthew Muller is a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, which may explain the tactical and controlled nature of the assault.
Geographic and Temporal Proximity: Muller graduated from Harvard Law School in 2006, placing him on the East Coast at the time. The Boca Raton crime occurred in 2007.
Established Pattern of Criminal Behavior: Muller was later convicted and sentenced to 50 years for the 2015 kidnapping of Denise Huskins — a case involving zip ties, swim goggles, psychological manipulation, and careful planning, all similar to the Boca Raton case.
Given these parallels — particularly the highly specific use of blacked-out goggles and zip ties — I believe Matthew Muller should be examined as a potential suspect or person of interest in the 2007 Boca Raton Mall shooting case. There may be forensic, geographic, or digital evidence worth visiting.
