SWANTON, Ohio — Police are investigating after a body was discovered Monday morning in the framework of a bridge on the Ohio Turnpike.

Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol were notified of the discovery shortly before 11 a.m. According to OSHP, a bridge inspector found the body while conducting an inspection just west of the state Route 2 interchange in Swanton Township.

SWANTON, Ohio — No foul play is suspected in the death of a person whose body was discovered Monday morning in the framework of a bridge on the Ohio Turnpike, according to the Lucas County Coroner.

According to a press release from the coroner's office, the body, described as an "unknown black male," had undergone moderate decomposition. Additionally, the coroner's office said there was no evidence of injury, and toxicological studies were pending. The coroner's office added there was no foul play suspected.
