Do we know for sure if Millard is right or left-handed?

Or ambidextrous?

As an ambi, I write with my left hand, eat with both hands switching back and forth, couldn't begin to use scissors with my left, shoot a gun with my right hand, and have a two-handed forehand in tennis. Just generally really messed ;)

Yeah, I mentioned my leftie BF in the immediate prev. post; he writes with left but has no problems doing other things like mousing (including video gaming) with right hand.

Post 79- Lucas Bate- a distant relative to Lucas Skywalker?? lol Has to be some reason behind choosing "Bate" as a last name. Perhaps that the phone would be used as a baiting device? MOO

Or a sick reference to the " Bates Motel " in the movie Psycho, directed by Alfred Hitchcock ?

Eh, when analyzing DM's sense of humor, you have to remember that he had a dog named 'Pedo'.

I write with my right hand. But I usually shoot with my left. I can also shoot with my right, it's just not as comfortable. But if I was ever in the situation to shoot someone, I wouldn't even think about it, I would just do it. I don't think DM would be concerned with whether or not his dominant hand was closest to TB to pull the trigger. .380 is small and I think would be pretty easy for anyone to shoot with their least dominant hand.

I could shoot a gun with either my right or left hand while driving. I think the more natural would be the right hand to shoot even if you are left handed. MOO

I think SB was only asked if she had seen these men before May6th 2013 because she couldn't say for sure that it was them. Also it would bring into play the fact that she sat in at every court hearing since May 6th 2013, which may well have obscured her actual recollection of who she did actually see. I havent heard any evidence about accused being put in any line up, so her sitting in court at all those court hearings would have made it impossible for her to make a definitive answer IMO JMO

Just noting that DM was not wearing any baggy clothing according to Wayne DeBoer.
DeBoer also says he cant remember exactly what DM was wearing ie. jeans sweater etc. (He doesn't remember seeing a bright orange T Shirt.)

DeBoer testifies that MS had half his face covered by hoody. His statement to police states that he his face was only a quarter visible.

With all the focus on whether or not DM smiles. I find it odd that a courtroom would laugh during a murder trial.

Just my observations from todays tweets.

I have to wonder if the Defense is setting things up for a variation on the Affluenza plea. Millard's in-court sociopathic behavior certainly displays it. "medical appointments" don't necessarily need to be done for physical issues, or requested by the Prosecution.

I agree with the defence setting things up....Dr appt could be set up for Fridays when court is not in session, but they chose to have it interrupt court for all to read that DM has a medical issue!!!

.380 could easily be shot with his non dominant hand. Especially because he was at very close range. It has very little recoil so I don't think it would matter which hand. I also know it was likely shot with one hand as for most men the gun is too small to hold comfortably with two.

I assume that Millard's lawyer is going to argue that Smich pulled the gun from his hoodie pouch and reached around the seat and shot him. Which neither Millard or Tim saw coming.

If we think DM's behaviour in the courtroom is giving us the heebie jeebies now, just wait until he acts as his own attorney in the Laura Babcock "matter". Just like Bundy....has to be outfront, noticed, important, in the spotlight. It's VERY important to him to be the centre of attention and a ring leader for all those around him. It's what drives him. It gives him status. It gives him the control he seeks.

Does anyone know if Dellen Millard's mother is in attendance? What about Mark Smich? Any family in the courtroom to support their children or siblings?

Were Smich's fingerprints not found in the truck?

I have not read any MSM that says they were, so far its only been reported that DM's finger prints were in or on the truck.

The matter of one defense lawyer suggesting that DM may not have been there for a test drive to buy a car and the other defense lawyer wanting to identify a bag could have a couple of theories attached. I guess as it plays out it will become clearer.

The question of the lighting in the garage will be raised again at some point in my opinion.

I find it more odd that he's sitting as a defendant in a first degree murder trial smiling. That's nothing to be taken lightly. He knows what is at stake and he acts like that? It shows the callousness.
While it's not the most appropriate arena for laughter, these people are just simply remembering TB how he was, how people regarded him. It's allowing them to find some sort of solace in a trying time.

Suggesting he (MS) wore gloves or wiped them as he went possibly !

We only have tweets to go on, second hand information. Sometimes a simple smile can become a cheesy grin by the time it goes twittering around the block. IMHO

I have been in courtrooms and it is rare to see or hear outright laughter in serious trials. IMHO.

Yes to all of this. I've always been reluctant to straight-up call him a serial killer, but he's giving me all kinds of Ted Bundy at this point.

And for whatever reason, involving other people is obviously part of the thrill for him.

Good reminder that murderers (and serial killers) do not necessarily fit the perfect cookie-cutter molds we envision after watching all those 'profiler' crime shows.

Thanks, redheart. So if he's driving, he has to turn a bit in the seat to fire with his left hand.

Well, do lefties necessarily fire with left hand? Going to ask left-handed boyfriend tonight. (Not that he's ever fired a handgun, but I'm guessing there's some instinctive knowledge of how you would hold something like that.)

I'm a lefty, but some of us shoot righthanded. It has alot to do with the dominant eye (same for batting in baseball), but also can be affected by things like joint problems, for example. (I have arthritis in my hands and find it very hard to rail a gun (slide back the loading mechanism) with my right hand, so I fire a semiautomatic with my right hand. I can easily see DM pulling a weapon with his left hand and firing across his body with very little turning required. I think this is what he did, and that TB never saw it coming. I hope I'm right.

Doesn't pedo mean 'fart' in Spanish? Wasn't the dog from Mexico?

I honestly think in the end we will see the defense is really grasping at straws with this defense. I wonder if DP gave up the case as what Millard told him didn't match the disclosure he was given and didn't think the case could be won.

DP didn't give up the case.

"Despite appearing many times on Millard's behalf in court, Paradkar was never properly retained as his trial lawyer"
