Fraser now asking abut the Castle Meyer test, which is used to check for blood. It was used in this case.

The Castle Meyer is a "very specific" test to find the presence of blood, Sloots says. "It's a very reliable and a very sensitive test for blood."

Apparently one of the only things that can set off that test aside from blood is freshly squeezed sprouts from beans. They'd be green though, and not darker like a bloodstain would be.

Very reliable and sensitive test for blood. Only thing that can trick the test is - weirdly -material from legumes. Yes, beans.

We all know lawyers and Crown Att's have co-counsels or assistant Crown att's. However, does anyone know if a judge has the ability to consult other judges during a trial on a matter of law, so they can make the correct ruling.

I imagine with all these legal arguments that the judge has to make decisions on, some of those decisions may be critical to preventing the eventual possibility of a mistrial or grounds for appeal. If I were the judge having to make dozens of rulings on these legal arguments each week, I would probably want to get another's opinion from time to time.

And I am certain Judge Goodman is being very cautious in making his decisions and rulings when it comes to the defense wanting to hold legal arguments without jurors present. The last thing he needs and wants is a mistrial, hung jury or appeals. JMO.
