So DM has at least six cousins. Wonder if he has a relationship with any of them.

Jury is back. Burns says animals that are dead are put in deep freeze and then outside company picks them up and cremated them.

Uncle seems to be trying hard to use words of distance from DM. Sporadic, altruistic ... Distant ... Biological.

Wonder if that's why Pillay is annoyed.
I wondered as well. He may be worried that his relationship to this case could hurt his practice.

Crown is asking Millard's uncle about cremation process of the animals he treats #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 26s26 seconds ago
Burns says he uses a 3rd party company to pick up frozen, euthanized pets for cremation. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 17s17 seconds ago
Always uses same company. They cremate them individually if owner wants the ashes back.

Burns on what is done with dead animals with his practice: "Animals that are euthanized or die are held in a deep freeze for a relatively short period of time, at which point we call an outside third party company that picks up the cadavers and has those bodies cremated." He says he has had "26 years" of uninterrupted service with that company. He says he doesn't perform any of his own incinerations.
by Adam Carter 12:08 PM

He says it has "never" crossed his mind to go into the pet cremation business.

Oh....I think I know where this is going.............

I saw a video of RB online and the familial resemblance between him and DM is quite uncanny, IMO. It's kind of sad to see how DM could have grown up to be a good man like his uncle, had DM not made the horrific choices he did, IMO.

All MOO.

  • #133
Really. . Is he objecting to the witness characterizing his own personal feelings of the relationship..... annoying as all these objections and arguments are, I think the jury sees it as wow.. they have so much info they are trying to hide. IMO

He was never personally involved in the cremation process. Never considered going into cremation business.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 21s22 seconds ago Toronto, Ontario
Crown: Did it ever cross your mind to go into cremation process? Millard's uncle: No, never #Bosma

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 26s27 seconds ago Toronto, Ontario
Millard's lawyer has another issue. Jury exiting the courtroom. Standby. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 15s16 seconds ago
Crown (Leitch) asks how as a vet he disposed of dead or euthanized animals. Burns says he has an outside company that does it. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 16s16 seconds ago
They pickup the cadavers and cremate them. He has used this same company for 26 years. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 16s16 seconds ago
Crown Leitch asks if he ever talked to neighbour Subiens about going into pet cremation biz. Pillay objects. Jury, witness out again.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 31s32 seconds ago
Burns doesn't think many Ont vet clinics do their own pet cremations. #Bosma

So is this leading to the "reason" the eliminator was purchased?

Leitch asks if Burns ever talked about pet cremation with "Charles Dubian," who also knew Millard. Pillay again has an issue. Jury is sent out.

That should be Dubiens.

Leitch asks Burns if he ever considered getting into the pet cremation business. Burns said no, never even crossed his mind. #Bosma

Does this not make SS an accessory?? Hiding a truck that was used to tow a stolen vehicle? i guess it could be argued that he didn't know?

A black caravan followed the truck.
by Adam Carter 11:09 AM

The two vehicles went to a residence in Cambridge. The red truck was left there. Two white men were then in the van and went back to the hangar.
by Adam Carter 11:11 AM

By 4:12 p.m., they were back at the hangar.

It was proposed as a wild theory by a poster on WS quite early on. Ironic to hear this discussed in real life.
