Hussey agrees that he persuaded Millard that an FBO would be a good idea.

Bought a new engine. That'd cost $15,000, Sachak suggests. Hussey agrees. #Bosma

The excavator was stuck in a swamp. They made efforts to try and get it out. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Tried to pull excavator out with snowmobile. Excavator worth $15,000.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Guy blows an engine and still has $ to buy a new one--that's a good guy to go into biz with, Sachak suggests. "Exactly," Hussey says. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Excavator found in swamp was bought from Hussey's dad. Shortly after, #Millard hit stump, blew the engine, & bought another engine #Bosma

Nadir Sachak keeps pronouncing his client's name 'Dillon' not 'Dellon.' He seems to be the only one

Confused by this emphasis on replacing the engine in the excavator--is there any evidence that was actually done?

 • #324
Mar 10 2016 3:04 PM
Sachak says Millard bought the excavator "even though business was slow."

Mar 10 2016 3:05 PM
"You're probably saying 'Jesus Christ,' this guy buys the excavator, blows the engine, and then has the money to buy another engine. Good guy to go into business with," Sachak says.
How can the D put words in the witnesses mouth? Very curious.

March 30, 2013 until after Millard's arrest, Hussey continues to discuss business plan with him.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Discussed renting part of the hangar out.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 18s18 seconds ago
From March 30-May 11, 2013, they had many "in depth" conversations about their biz plans. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 14s14 seconds ago
Millard and Hussey collaborated on a joint "fixed base operations" business at Waterloo airport. They would offer plane fuel, rented space

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 14s15 seconds ago
Millard was also looking to rent out his hangar on top of that, Sachak suggests. Hussey agrees. #bosma

Really? Really?? He actually said that to the witness? Does he not know how many Christians are connected to this case and how offensive using Jesus' name that way is to Christians?

Adding: Tim was a Christian. Sharlene is a Christian. The Bosma family and most of Tim & Sharlene's friends, are Christians. I just find this completely disgusting that this lawyer would say such a thing. UGH.

I think he is emphasizing the fact he had money to buy a new one. Business NOT in trouble. Why steal a truck and kill the owner. etc. MOO

But there were no permits issued to verify this (that we know of). Also agreenwith what a previous poster said about storing oil and gas in a future residence!

I actually don't find that part to be too crazy. Many barn conversions are done .. also if he did house flipping / renovations at one point it could have been a fun project.

http://www.brit.co/barn-living/ just an example.

Hussey says around the date of Bosma's disappearance, they were having in depth conversations via text about business operations.

Mar 10 2016 3:11 PM
There were discussions about who would invest what, Sachak says. Some were also done in face to face conversations.

Mar 10 2016 3:12 PM
Hussey says the texts capture "a fraction" of the business discussions.

Is Sachak really trying to make it look like this witness knows about DM's finances? The guy didn't have a clue how much money DM really had- a lot of puff and pageantry from DM. MOO

Right, but did he actually buy one? If not, what is the point of the claim?

I can claim that I'm a millionaire who has time to sit around all day transcribing trials, that doesn't make it true. And if DM's lawyers want to prove he could afford a truck, why not just bring in their own accounting expert with a freaking bank statement?

They even had a target date of June 10, 2013 to start the FBO business, Sachak says. Hussey agrees. #Bosma

His first statement to police was May 15. Two Thursday's before that met with Bearskin Airlines contact to get it to use Millardair.

On May 15, Hussey spoke with police. About 2 weeks before, he met with a man who works with Bearskin Airlines, which operates out of the north.

Mar 10 2016 3:16 PM
Sachak talking a lot about the contacts Hussey had made in the hopes of getting the FBO business off the ground.

Gotta heat the place ;)

I'm hoping the Crown re-questions him... "Are you qualified to assess the financial health of a business? Did you have access to DM's or Millardair's financial statements?" NO. "Thank you...no further questions." MOO

Is Millard's uncle finished on the stand?

It seems so but I'm not sure. I'm so confused now about the tweets of RB's testimony as others here are too.

Was it suggested by CD to RB that DM told CD that RB was going into the pet cremation business? - OR - Did CD tell RB that CD and DM were? Honestly, by the tweets it is hard to say, IMO, and I wish that important distinction had been clarified.

I could interpret that CD, being in IT, would have no interest in a pet cremation business, whereas it is more plausible that RB might, but then I think maybe RB found the idea of CD and DM going into a pet cremation business implausible and shocking, hence his comment about being blown away.

I can see the statements by CD to RB as open to interpretation. Sorry if I'm confusing anyone.

Also, today testimony from SH is great, IMO. I think of the courage of some of the witnesses in this case and I have only admiration for them, him included.

All MOO.

Hussey: 'I did see the truck - the Bosma truck.' Describes it as a Ram 2500, a diesel #Bosma

Hussey says it had never seen the vehicle before #Bosma

Schlatman and Jennings in hangar. "I did see the truck. The #Bosma truck. A Ram 2500. It was black. Diesel." Sitting on a tarp.

Meeting lasted about an hour/hour and a half. While there he saw "the truck." #Bosma

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 53s54 seconds ago Brampton, Ontario
Hussey says the truck was sitting on a tarp, with carpet under the vehicle #Bosma

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 1m1 minute ago Brampton, Ontario
Crown: Was it customary to see a tarp under vehicle (inside the hangar)? Hussey: No, not it wasn't #Bosma

Wow very brazen of DM. Once again did he think he was brilliant in pulling off another perfect crime and no one noticed a missing man's truck right under their nose and couldn't put 2+2 together? The evidence just keeps getting better and better nailing DM as a narcissistic psychopath IMO.

So Sachak hit this kid pretty hard on cross and kept emphasizing his nervousness. Any thoughts on why?
