How can the D put words in the witnesses mouth? Very curious.

I am surprised to hear Sachak swear in court -- very unprofessional in my opinion.

Court back in session now.
by Adam Carter 3:36 PM

Sachak now going through all the things that were inside the hangar (ie cars, tools and a fuel truck) that were worth a significant amount of money. "You're talking about well over a million dollars in supplies," Sachak says.
by Adam Carter 3:37 PM

Sachak is doing all this in an attempt to hammer home that Millard had money -- or at least property that was worth quite a lot.
by Adam Carter 3:38 PM

Sachak now going through the texts between Millard and Hussey that were entered into evidence a little while ago. These are business related texts.
by Adam Carter 3:41 PM

by Adam Carter 3:43 PM

Sachak again points out that the Bosma truck was "in plain view" at the MillardAir hangar.
by Adam Carter 3:47 PM

by Adam Carter 3:48 PM

"Anyone who went into that hangar will see the Bosma truck," Sachak says. Hussey agrees.
by Adam Carter 3:48 PM

There was another meeting on May 10 about the new FBO, Sachak says, with multiple people there. There was a tour of the hangar at that time, Hussey says.
by Adam Carter 3:49 PM

"I was showing them the facility," Hussey says.
by Adam Carter 3:50 PM

Sachak says the people he was showing the hangar to "were impressed."
by Adam Carter 3:50 PM

I thought his choice of words were very inappropriate. To TB's family and perhaps even a Juror or two, that would have been offensive, but for some reason, I don't believe DM's team cares about being sensitive to TB's family in the least.

So do judges permit lawyers to swear in their courtrooms, if they are not quoting evidence ? I thought our Canadian standards were higher than that -- very disappointed in the judge. IMO

Smich was doing odd jobs at hangar, painting and cleaning washrooms. Smich girlfriend Marlena Meneses painted and cleaned there as well.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 7s8 seconds ago
Marlena Meneses, #Smich girlfriend, sometimes worked with him at the hangar #TimBosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 7s8 seconds ago

Dungey now asking about Smich working at the hangar. Hussey says Marlena Meneses was there sometimes too.
by Adam Carter 3:59 PM

Crown now reexamining.
Hussey says operations had effectively shut down in 2013, and that's why he ws let go.
by Adam Carter 3:59 PM

Originally Millard was going to fund the FBO, Hussey says, but then that changed. "He insisted that anybody stepping in to the company from the ground invest $5,000."

"That's because you had an ambition -- and that ambition was to have your own company," Sachak says. Hussey says yes. Sachak says the situation would have been advantageous for him because Millard could kick in some cash. Again, Hussey says yes.

Mar 10 2016 2:58 PM
"You concluded he could invest some funds," Sachak says. "That's correct," Hussey says.

BBM

IMO, the use of the word "ambition" by Sackak, as in DM's tattoo, was a calculated reference and used to tie in DM's own ambition by way of connecting it to SH's interest in starting a business with DM, IMO.

Maybe it's just my perception and I could be wrong, but I will never be able to hear that word again without associating it DM. :scared:

All MOO.

Also tells them not to share information about the case with anyone.

And again cautions them not to look at any media reports.
