All that talk of how he had almost $700,000 cash, no problem, to buy a condo. Um...no he didn't. Wonder where he eventually got it from? Because that deal did close. I guess we might find out?

MOO

I'm terrible with the real estate/money end of this, but wasn't there a thing where DM tried (or succeeded) to use the Millard Air loan money to buy real estate?

That was early 2012. Sold house for him in spring 2012. She says they had an intimate relationship starting April or May 2012 until arrest.

Just tuning in after a long break...

Oh well, thing has just got interesting fast.

One more text from her in April 2013: "When are you going away again? ... I'm in your neighbourhood now if you're around." He responds he was "leaving May 1, away for 10 days." Whidden says she has no further information about his trip.

Hahahaha another nail in the premeditation coffin? May 1st for 10 days? Looks like DM had grand plans for that first week in May and just didn't want LW to be bugging him for bootie calls or condo talk?? MOO

IMO, this ties into WM's accounting firm letting DM down. The Bank obviously wanted some info right away. Chances are DM wanted to borrow the money for the condo but it couldn't happen until the Accounting firm provided them with the financials. He was under pressure. Wonder why they didn't want to do business with DM?? MOO

Except he contacted her on May 5th during that "vacation" talking about trading his gas truck for a diesel. And she didn't ask him where he was? I think her memory of things is about as good as SS's.

Wonder who the two were on the bloody sailboat in 2012.

Also wondering if "Wishbone" will turn out to be another female companion.

I agree :) Doesn't sound like she's having a particularly good time on the stand. Stress induced amnesia? MOO

For those that followed the Victoria Stafford trial...I'm having MR flashbacks of his harem parading through that courtroom. LOL

Worked 5 days in 12 months on trading his gasser for a diesel. Yup, can tell not much thought went into his plans!!

Going away May 1st to 10th...well he sure did go away in May :jail: just a few days late!
At least her testimony is showing us that he's not so awesome, is in financial ruins and is a liar!!

He had owned another Distillery District condo at one time and hung on to that for a while. I think he even tried to rent it out or did rent it out. I'm sure he hung onto it just long enough to make a good profit. Which was probably the original intent with this one. Looks like he needed/wanted to get out of that deal before it even closed this time. That would cut into his profit substantially I would think?

MOO
Not sure about the other one. Is there a link or anything on that? I started to think that maybe it was the same one.

And now that you point it out, what a weird statistic for him to bring up. Like:

"In the last year? I've put five whole days into this. It's a real passion of mine."

They also had an intimate relationship, she told the jury

She's testifying about text messages between her and Millard that suggest he was having trouble paying off his condo before the sale

She's a real estate agent who helped sell Dellen Millard's Oakville condo
