House renovated in Burlington belonged to Dellen.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Villata only ever did work on houses Millard was giving directions on. Doesn't know if he was actually owner in all cases. #Bosma

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 1m1 minute ago
Villata says the only homes he ever worked on were somehow under Millard's control, but isn't certain if he owned them. #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Asked if he knows how much he owed on those houses or what the mortgages were, Villata says he had no idea. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Properties included 5 Maplegate Crt. 307 Riverside Dr. The Hangar--both the old one and the new one. And the farm. #Bosma

The only people i can think of that would not put their garbage out at the curb, is someone who didn't want anyone possibly going through it.

And hoarders.

 • #83
So was he going to build a bunch of houses and a grand estate at the farm or was he going to turn that barn into a home??? How on earth did DM keep all these different stories straight? MOO

We say DM never had a "real" job, but hey! He's a professional juggler!

Villata says he worked each weekday, as well as some Saturdays and Sundays.
by Adam Carter 12:11 PM

"I thought we were going to have a very solid company," Villata says.
by Adam Carter 12:11 PM

His brothers and in laws were making less than him -- some were making $16-$20 an hour. Their wages dropped when Villatas did. Some by "five, six, seven dollars."
by Adam Carter 12:12 PM

The cheques always cleared, Villata says, but by the end payments were frequently late.
by Adam Carter 12:14 PM

He stopped working for Millard on May 10, when he was arrested.
by Adam Carter 12:14 PM

Leitch now asking about vehicles Millard had. First asking about a white van.
by Adam Carter 12:15 PM

Villata classifies it as a "big white van," but not sure of the make.
by Adam Carter 12:15 PM

(Do all creeps have a big white van? :P)

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Worked on Maplegate, Riverside, the hangar, the farm, the condo in the Distillery District.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
The apartment in the distillery district also. He doesn't remember when. Maybe a year before Dellen was arrested. #Bosma

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 2m2 minutes ago
Villata says he worked each weekday, as well as some Saturdays and Sundays. #TimBosma #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Villata worked for Millard everyday. Saturdays and sometimes even Sundays. Was available 7 days a week.#Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
"I thought we were going to have a very solid company," he says. Brothers worked Mon-Sat. They made less than he did. $16-22/hr.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Worked for Dellen "Saturdays, sometimes Sundays, every day of the week." His brothers worked Minday to Friday, some weekends. $16 or $22/HR

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
When his wage dropped, so did theirs. Between 5 and 7 dollars. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Their pay got cut too.

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 2m2 minutes ago
His brothers and in laws were making less than him -- some were making $16-$20 an hour. Their wages dropped when Villatas did. #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Villata would text Millard with their hours worked. Millard would then cut a cheque accordingly and Villata would pay the other guys. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Paid late "a lot of times." Stopped working for Dellen "the day he was arrested."

by Adam Carter 12:16 PM

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Millard's vehicles. He had a white van which Javier leased for $250/month. Later he leased red truck instead.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 59s59 seconds ago
He stopped leading the van bc in Dec (maybe 2011?) DM said that van belonged to him. He didn't want to continue with the deal.

^^^ Huh? What does that mean?

He says he was going to pay Millard back "little by little" for the $9K he owed. Says he doesn't know how much he still owed when Millard was arrested. That too was coming out of his pay.
by Adam Carter 12:20 PM

Court now seeing a photo of Millard's red Dodge Ram truck. He says that's the one he was leasing.
by Adam Carter 12:21 PM

Villata says he was using the truck in 2013 before Millard was arrested. Also in 2012.
by Adam Carter 12:22 PM

He says Millard would use the truck once or twice a month.
by Adam Carter 12:23 PM

Court seeing a photo of the truck's bed, with a fifth wheel trailer attachment.

I think she meant 'leasing'. Seems like DM took back his van after this guy paid all this money for it and probably never got his money back if he was leasing it to keep. <modsnip>

I wonder if the witness was leasing to purchase or simply renting.

Eventually started to pay Millard monthly (a $450 pay deduction) for the red pickup truck. #Bosma

to pay off his $9k loan (used to go to Columbia), Villata said he'd be paying him "little by little." Millard made pay deductions. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
He still owed $ when Millard was arrested but can't say how much. Millard didn't keep him up to date on what he owed. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
when Dellen was arrested, Javier had no idea how much he owed to Dellen.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 2m2 minutes ago
Villata started a company with Millard called Villata Homes

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Now seeing a photo of the red Dodge Ram pickup truck. This is the vehicle he was "leasing" from Millard, he says. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 2m2 minutes ago
They renovated homes, though Villata notes, they only ever seemed to be homes belonging to Millard

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Seeing photo of red Dodge Ram he was leasing.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 48s49 seconds ago
He said at the start he was paid $27 an hour but had to take a 5 dollar pay cut

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Before Millard's arrest, in 2012 and 2013 Villata was using the truck (and making the payments, as far as he knows). #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Villada leased vehicles from #Millard for work. He often used the red dually truck Millard had for towing his fifth wheel, for $450/mo

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 46s46 seconds ago
He was also paid regularly at the start of his employment, but after that payments started coming late

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 43s44 seconds ago
In 2012 Javier was leasing the red Dodge Ram. Used it for work. Millard would use it once or twice a month.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 35s36 seconds ago
Dellen would borrow the truck now and again, he says. Once or twice a month. #Bosma

Villata says the only one that could haul the biggest trailer was the red truck.
by Adam Carter 12:25 PM

Court now hearing about the jeeps Millard owned. One was from the 1950s, and was "very old," Villata says. He sometimes drove them when Millard took the red truck.

They discussed building homes on the farm. I can't find the tweet mentioning it.

"We were going to build houses on his farm," he says.
by Adam Carter 11:55 AM

Villata says he had been to the Millard farm "a lot of times."
by Adam Carter 11:55 AM

They were going to build "big houses" on a section of the farm he says, and a big "estate" around the house. That never happened.
by Adam Carter 11:57 AM

"It just never became a reality."

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Millard also didn't pay taxes, which Villata says he found out after the government told him he owed $9,000 in back taxes

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Red truck has a fifth wheel to haul a trailer. Millard had three open trailers and one closed trailer, which was the biggest.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Only red truck could haul a fifth wheel.

Looking at a photo of the fifth wheel attachment in bed of red dually truck. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Villata also borrowed $9,000 to go to Columbia which Millard deducted from his paycheque in installments

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
He had multiple trailers. 3 were open and 1 (the biggest one) was closed. Red truck was only vehicle that could haul the big trailer. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Though Villata says he was never kept abreast of how much he owed at any given time right up to Millard's arrest in May 2013

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Other Millard vehicles had a hitch. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 48s49 seconds ago
Can't recall specifics about which vehicles had a trailer hitch. There was a green van (Wayne Millard's, he believes) and a Jeep. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 57s58 seconds ago
Villata would sometimes drive the Jeep when Millard took the red truck. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 45s46 seconds ago
Millard had a 1954 Jeep, among other Jeeps.

^^^ Typo? If not, SWEET.

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 1m1 minute ago
Court now hearing about the jeeps Millard owned. One was from the 1950s, and was "very old," Villata says. #TimBosma #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 58s59 seconds ago
Millard would borrow the truck from time to time and Villata was often given a jeep or the Yukon instead

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 53s54 seconds ago
There was also a dark blue Yukon. He didn't drive that one so much. From time to time. It had a hitch too. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Millard had a dark blue Yukon which Javier used from time to time.

Wow!! Treat your friends with trips, parties and cars but yet treat your employees like the <modsnip> stuck to the bottom of your shoe! <modsnip>

Suppose this is "the co worker that set him up"...good grief!!
