What are the odds Arthur peeked into the toolbox when it was in his possession? I also wonder if Arthur can verify it was a 'real' gun.

Doesn't look like it had a lock.
attachment.php

Most of the photos of the toolbox previously it had a padlock on it. I'm sure they wouldn't leave it open for anyone to reach into. IMO

Regarding the "wolf" in Russian

Found this in the “Blood Aboard the Yacht” thread

Post 106
And they also told us AM was not a POI. Really, did he not text something along the line of "They found the farm, call the wolf"?

Post 107
I do believe this issue has been addressed a multitude of times... NO AM did not post such a tweet... the Text you are referring to was done by a well intended sleuth and has been dropped since being stated as such.

Post 117
I vaguely heard chatter about the WOLF quote over a week ago plus also saw a tweet by "second Timothy" that was in some type of acrylic ( russian?) language......but I have yet to see any confirmation of AM's tweet or text?

Thank you for digging up these old posts. <modsnip>

Having a hard time understanding that MS would want to sell the 'smoking gun'. Seems very bold. Ensuring it can't be located would be the priority of someone worried about its existence, and the trouble he would get into if found.

MS was damned if he did and damned if he didn't...
MS left the toolbox containing his gun in the care of DM ...and figured out sometime later that he (MS) had f...ed himself by leaving the gun with the guy who involved him in the whole mess to begin with and who now had the means to set him up take the fall for the whole thing !!!! No wonder he scrambled to retrieve the toolbox and gun sometime after DM was arrested.

MS now has the gun and doesn't have the money or smarts to be able to dispose of it.

Either way the only gun that anyone ever focuses on after the fact is the gun in the toolbox that we now know belonged to MS....handy I would say.
Have I missed something....it is likely that each man had his own gun.....one or both fired.....and no one is wondering where DM ditched the gun that he may have been carrying. I think it is entirely too convenient that DM wants a truck, schemes a scheme, involves his own personal Btch and then takes charge of the Btch's gun-----sounds like he kept it as insurance should the need arise. No surprise when later DM starts the running the story that someone may be setting him up.

MOO
