He can show a little emotion right now and to what end is my question !
I would have preferred a little more forethought when he was going along with DM and the group carrying on in the dark of night
in all manner of activity that ultimately led us all to this point.
But that in an inconvenient through isn't ......let's protect this tender young thing now because finally he expresses some emotion & tears now...I think that is strictly tears of fear and fear for himself only. Look how he says pretty much 'I didn't do anything ....it was just dropped in my lap'....right.....and you never stole a single thing ????

I've got to agree. While I do feel bad for him crying on the stand, let's face it - he was an adult when he carried out these "missions" and when he lied to police. He might feel a whole lot better about himself if he was an honest person all along - one who didn't thieve, didn't lie to police.

Oh boy, so I see were this is going! All the thefts had lookouts and planned even if short notice, why wouldn't there be one for Bosma truck.

We'll IMO, no lookouts needed for a thrill kill murder !! I'm sure there were no lookouts for LB and WM murders either.

References Michalski's nickname, Kowalski. Hagerman doesn't know where it came from. Sachak says its from 'Penguins of Madagascar." #Bosma

molly hayes @mollyhayes 10:14 AM - 7 Apr 2016
Sachak asks if he knew "kowalski's" video game name. "Stealth missions," Hagerman says. #Bosma

From Wikipedia: Chris Miller as Kowalski, the brains of the penguins.[11]

Where is he going with this? Is he going to try to point to AM as the mastermind somehow?

There was nervous excitement when pulling off a mission? Hagerman says no. Hagerman very upset. Judge suggests a break. Jury going out.

The walkie-talkie heist missions inspired sense of adventure & excitement in the pals. #TimBosma

Hagerman disagrees with Sachak's suggestion he was excited by the mission. "No, I was scared," he says. #Bosma

Jury gone for morning break. #Bosma

After, Hagerman says, he was always scared. #TimBosma

Hagerman exits the courtroom as court takes morning break, wiping his nose with a tissue. Looks down the whole time. #Bosma

Exactly that I am thinking. They are going to try say MS had the gun and pulled it unexpectedly. There was no lookouts or planning because just like the test drive with IT, it was a regular test drive until MS shot TB.

I don't disagree that he made mistakes.....but it does seem like he is truly regretful of his actions (unlike some of the witnesses so far) and is now being honest and forthcoming. I hope he is receiving some kind of counselling or help......he should have gone to the police the moment he realized what had gone down and IMO he wishes he had and is living with that regret. MOO

IMO, it's more about the detailed planning and assistance to not get caught. Argument will be that this TB murder does not fit DM's planning style, and MS was an angry and unpredictable punk.

I always wondered about the key to open the lock that was on the toolbox - or was it a combination lock with a code? Now thinking if it was a key, that it was also probably in the blue bag that was dropped in the stairwell??? ... just always wondered how Mark was able to open the toolbox.
Regarding getting into the tool box...bolt cutters, grinder with cut off wheel.

He seemed to worry about family honour. Sounds like he is close to his dad.

I feel pretty sorry for the guy. He was led into this by an older, trusted family friend. It doesn't help that MH was being guided that way.

I think the defence is going to try to say there was a distributed responsibility, that there was no leader and the gang was an example of "matrix management".

I understand exactly where Sachak is going with this line of questioning. When DM stole things he planned very methodically and was very careful about being caught.

With TB "everything was out in the open", it seemed like a fly by night plan that was messy. So, obviously, it wasn't orchestrated by DM because he always planned theft really well. If he was planning to steal the truck and murder TB, walking up the driveway and being seen by SB and the tenant there, that doesn't fit in with his past theft behaviour.

Not that I agree with that thought, I just see where Sachak is going with it now.

MOO.

Hard to explain the burner phone, tho.

Well I'll admit it, MH made me cry. Just because he was doing incredibly stupid things 3 years ago doesn't mean the kid doesn't have remorse for ever being involved with DM, and even more so genuine grief for what happened to Tim Bosma at the hand of his "friend". I feel bad for him. I hope he can get some kind of counselling to help him deal with this nightmare.

A lock really only keeps honest people out....

Hard to explain the burner phone, tho.

the burner phone does fit a planned 'grand theft auto' by DM. Shooting him in the truck does not.

Just pointing out a possible defense strategy.

If that is the only part that looks sketchy and hard to explain away with reasonable doubt, that makes me nervous about what the jury will think.

I do have strong hope for justice, I just worry about so much circumstantial evidence. Hopefully the next few witnesses will help solidify the jury's mind towards a conviction.

I'm not convinced he doesn't remember location of stairwell where they dropped box and knapsack.....MOO

For a second there I almost bought that theory, then give my head a shake and see through the smoke and mirrors. I hope the Jury is able to see through it. Didn't AM say that DM told him that he was going to steel a truck?

Exactly. Being involved in thefts, no matter how big or small doesn't translate to being okay with his friend being a (possible) murderer.

IMO, I am confident the puzzle pieces will fit to ensure justice. Just look at what's coming up.
