MH was playing dumb about them not knowing what was in the backpack..especially when AM says he collected all the drugs and put it in the backpack..it's possible it was more than just weed...cocaine? Smich was already charged once with cocaine. It was obviously a little more than a bit of weed to be panicked about.

Can't remember his exact words, but I thought he said they both assumed it was weed. Which is not true.

That explains why DM gave Police the Roseville Road address as his residence ... it would give more time for his buddies to remove the drugs/gun stuff from the Maple Gate house.

Doesn't matter as that would be hearsay by MH. AM knows how they got in his possession. It could have been an assumption by MH based on how he got the toolbox.

Yeah...I get all the legal stuff...point is, somebody is not telling the truth, either intentionally or not.

If MS knew TB had been murdered and DM had been arrested, why was he so panic stricken about drugs at Maple Gate? I would think drugs at DM's place would be the least of his worries.

He knew he needed something to buy a lawyer.

Yes, but my point being, did MH not testify that the backpack was "given" to AM by DM because DM wanted MS to get have it?

He may have thought so but turns out he was mistaken. Seems like an honest mistake.

Smich wanted it delivered to him, Michalski says. "The next morning when I saw the news I didn't want to see him. I didn't want to make contact with him. So we arranged a place that was neutral for both of us where we would leave it and he would go pick it up."

Yet, IIRC, MH said they didn't hear of the new charges of FC until they (AM and MH) heard it on the car radio as they were driving on the way to make the drop to MS on Saturday? Is this not what MH said?

FWIW, I am not convinced by any of DM's missionaries' testimony. How can we pick the truth out from the lies or evasions?

I think what he is saying is he explained after it was dropped off where MS could pick it up. Doesn't sound like a prearranged place.
