With all the talk of AM's police statement missing details like DM's demeanour in conversations and other details, I just have a few thoughts to add. If they had spoken and done theft together before it isn't like the talk of stealing a truck was 100% out of the blue. So it may not have stood out in his mind as an exceptional conversation as much as some people hope it would.

I know my own memory can be incredible when it comes to details but if someone came to me right now and said a conversation I had 6 days ago needed to be documented, I wouldn't necessarily remember every single word and the other person's tone of voice and their body language. IMO, some people seem to be expecting perfection and not a single detail missed in any way in a witness' memory. That just isn't realistic unless someone has a photographic memory which is not common at all. We can hope someone can remember tons of details but if they miss something here and there, that is just someone being a human. It doesn't mean they are lying or omitting details on purpose. I would rather he say he doesn't remember than make up an answer.

Like someone said in yesterday's thread, AM had this conversation with DM about stealing the truck, in their kitchen. It is a very incriminating conversation that had absolutely no paper trail or data attached to it. If he didn't tell LE about it, they would have been none the wiser. So the fact that he brought it up to them means he found it important and he probably told them every detail he remembered.

All MOO.

Yup - witness testimony is considered the most unreliable of all evidence. Two people seeing/hearing the same thing often come up with very different recollections.
