Dungey: "and you're still, still helping your friend Millard. That's what you're doing here."
Michalski: "no sir." #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Dungey says Michalski lied to this court by testifying he'd been truthful in police statement. "No sir." Denies he's still helping Millard.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Michalski says meekly that he eventually told the truth. Dungey says he's still trying to help his friend #Millard.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
That's it for Dungey. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Dungey suggests "you're only telling the court what you want" and "you're helping still Mr Millard" #Bosma

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 1m1 minute ago
Dungey accuses Michalski he is lying. Lied to police. To court. To jury. That DM told u about toolbox/backpak. Not smich. @AM900CHML

  • #102
If DM gave the back pack to AM, makes sense he would also have given him the toolbox rather than drive it to Haggerman. I do believe AM over this.

IMO

Dungey done. Crown Craig Fraser asking for quick break before re-exam. Judge says no, tells him to consult his Crown team right here.

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 1m1 minute ago
Michalski says no. It was smich. @AM900CHML #timbosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
No reexamination from the crown. Michalski is excused. #Bosma

No re-examination by the crown. Michalski is excused. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Crown now says no re-exam. Michalski excused after three days on witness stand. #Bosma

I also believe MH knew what was in the backpack......

Just a note: AC's post originally said lunch will end at 1:20pm, but was then changed to 1:30pm. In case anyone following here is planning to leave and return over the lunch hour :)

Jury taking early lunch. Back at 120pm. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 48s49 seconds ago
Michalski was arrested. Never charged.

Who's next?

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 5s5 seconds ago
A police officer, I believe.

IMO, Dungey is pushing way too hard to make it look like MS was framed. Also, him suggesting AM is still trying to protect and lie for DM. Uh, no. Did he not listen to all the stuff AM testified that was bad for DM??

Hmm. Maybe this officer will have details like why the hose was tagged as evidence? Might tie up some loose ends of evidence before MM and CN take the stand.

Whew, I don't like what TD is defending or his client, but I have to admit he is doing a good job with what he has. His cross exams are interesting, emotional, and he is getting the witness to admit their lies and he ends it all with reasonable doubt about certain things playing in my mind.

Sounds like DM was trying to implicate anyone but himself!

So we know DM was interviewed for 24 hours after he was arrested......is it safe to assume if he said anything incriminating that this would have been presented by the interviewing officers? Also.....timing of AM's arrest......few days after DM's arrest......and AM was arrested for 1st degree murder......things that make you go "hmmmm"....MOO

Do you think her got AM to do the kijiji searches on his (AM's) computer for a reason or because he didn't feel like doing it himself? IMO, he wanted that search done on someone else's computer.

DM must have said something once arrested about AM, or maybe SS did? After all didn't SS testify that AM left on his own after picking up his car from the hangar at 8:30 or so at night and no one knows where he went? I don't think the police came to such a quick arrest of AM without any suggestions from someone in the entourage.

MOO.

LE was probably pretty anxious to arrest the 2nd suspect. With none of DM's cronies telling the truth to LE, they might have arrested AM either because as DM's closest pal he was the logical 2nd suspect, or in hopes of pressuring him into telling the truth about the 2nd suspect. If they had the wrong guy, then they could release him.

Wow. Add another point to the list showing premeditation.
Why didn't the crown present these texts? Confused on that.

But he was the only one arrested as a potential second suspect before MS was. It isn't like they threatened first degree murder charges on any of the other entourage members. Obstruction charges or lying to authorities was threatened to others but that was it. So IMO, something made him their main interest at that point and I think it was more than guessing.

A lot of noise being created by TD but where can he really go with this? Yes, his angle seems to be that DM is the main guy involved here but he doesn't seem to be taking the angle that his client wasn't involved at all. It is almost like both Defenses are conceding that their clients were involved but weren't the main player. There seems to be a lot of "hmmm....where is he going with this?" moments during the crosses... Even if they were able to prove a point such as DM having a million dollars in the bank...it doesn't mean he didn't kill a man for his truck. All noise. MOO

I posted a question at the end of yesterday's thread just as it got locked so I will copy and paste here.

I forget which reporter tweeted this last night but one said sometimes legal arguments are about upcoming witnesses but sometimes it's about past witnesses.

How does that work? So someone that has already testified can have some of their testimony redacted?? That seems so strange to me. Can something a witness says that is entered into evidence be later removed?

Alex Pierson, who has been wildly inaccurate and sloppy at times, seemed to imply in recent audio that officers coming up had testimony on damning text exchanges. We'll see. She called AM 'Andrew Malarchuk' for days leading up to his testimony...

Remember where SS was about to testify to some texts but it was ruled that he couldn't because he wasn't directly involved? Maybe that's what we will see? I may not be remembering that correctly.....

Thanks again to all the tweet peeps here in the Forum.
It feels like I just got done watching Maury after reading all of the "and that's a lie" comments.
IMO, perhaps they arrested AM because he was the closest person to DM. Being roomies and perhaps from cell phone reports.
