Police use a particular software to extract data. Cell phones are different from each other, and from other types of devices

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 8s8 seconds ago
Essentially they're looking to get files and folders off a phone. Then, they do what's called a logical extraction (messages, photos etc).

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 19s20 seconds ago
Ryder is giving the jury a crash course on mobile devices. #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 28s29 seconds ago

Whew, I don't like what TD is defending or his client, but I have to admit he is doing a good job with what he has. His cross exams are interesting, emotional, and he is getting the witness to admit their lies and he ends it all with reasonable doubt about certain things playing in my mind.

He's actually doing a fantastic job. What he's painting a picture of here is a real psycho villain (Millard) and a bunch of hapless sidekicks all impressed by his wealth and uber confidence and willing to do his bidding. TD is doing a great job of painting MS as one of those hapless sidekicks.

I have no empathy at all for MS, but I've got a huge amount of respect for his lawyer. Very impressive stuff and it may well work, in terms of securing a lesser sentence.
