Regarding DM calling his lawyer, or his mother, or anyone for that matter. He was questioned for hours wasn't he? I've never heard of anyone arrested getting to make their phone call immediately. I still think he may have been on the phone when he got pulled over. Seems he was always on the phone.

Phone records would have revealed that.

It's a pity that someone so book smart, that could read/write French and Ukrainian and speak Spanish (that we know of so far) could do something so stupid and make such a mess of his (and other's) lives.

I think that's very possible. A quick "Oh s***. The cops ...". Line goes dead.

This makes a lot of sense to me. He could have easily fired off a text as soon as he was pulled over - and before the police ever approached his car. But then LE would have records of that last call/text from him, wouldn't they?

Noudga says she never got any of her own letters back, but did get responses from Millard. She says some letters she left in Burns' possession, and others she took home.
