Millard wonders if Noudga has her drivers' license yet. He had been helping her improve driving skills, she says in court.

Noudga says Millard had helped her get her G2 so this was just him following up on her life. #Bosma

Now a letter from Dec. 29. In this letter, Millard says his mom came to visit him on Christmas Day.

If MB was so involved with him back then, and until how recently we don't know, I'm beginning to think her absence in court indicitive of being called by his defence

Thats gonna be a performance worthy of an Oscar.

Noudga says she may have mentioned that more than once. "Why the hate?" Leitch asks. "Just, like, I always had like feelings that he was seeing other women, but he rejected them and was aloof about that, and I was madly in love with him but I wasn't sure how he felt back at me ... I kind of felt like I was being played," Noudga says. "Maybe it's just because he was in jail that he started to get passionate and emotional."

This whole tweet may be the most honest thing we have heard out of CN's mouth so far.

I agree totally, and not just about CN, the whole lot of them. Do you ever once CN say "I can't believe they are charging you with this"? Do any of these people say "I can't believe it!"? There is absolutely no reaction from any of them, which leads me to believe all of them knew the plan beforehand. Certainly CN did anyway.

It's been almost 3 years so I don't expect any of them will be on the stand looking surprised.
We don't have their police reports which might be giving a very different story.

I don't know that any of the friends knew he planned to murder someone. I think CN would have most definitely known after the fact but only what DM wanted her to know. He is calculating. Not very detailed but he manipulates everyone.
I think, like in his letters about AM, he did actually keep others out of it. Although I don't think it was to protect them but only to protect himself. He knew they would look away or participate in theft but that murder crossed their lines.

Exactly. Not one mention of the family of the victim either. So the extent of his empathy is one fleeting text message to SS. The lack of emphasis on his innocence, with such strong focus on his defence, cannot be going unnoticed by the jury.

Sorry, but disagree. The amount of spelling and grammatical mistakes are indicative of someone with extremely poor education/writing skills. His letters are enough for any English teacher to scream out loud.

You have to remember that DM was educated in French.

Following the revelation of DM's letters to CN and her responses to TL's questions, is like watching a brainwashed person being slowly and carefully deprogrammed over time. I think CN is being forced to accept that DM was/is only interested in himself, and that CN's relationship with him was/is a complete lie, IMO. There was never any love between them, IMO, and neither of them are capable of feeling or expressing genuine love, let alone real empathy for others or any true remorse, IMO. DM would and has, IMO, expect everyone he "loves" to sacrifice themselves and risk their own freedom to save him, IMO. It's all crazy how so few people close to this monster can see what he was/is, IMO. SMH

All MOO.

I don't see it that way at all. I think she is playing up the character of being a poor girl being played. Her mannerisms and tone on the stand seem so rehearsed to fit this "poor girl smitten by love" that she is using to hide behind. She had to have known he was seeing other women. He was engaged when she said they were exclusive.

Answer this, why did MM beg Smich not to go? Just another mission right?

IMO, That is BS. There is no way that was their only voice contact. CN apparently hadn't been answering his letters but when he knows she's on the phone, he only sings?? Right... what fool would believe that?!

Well, it's a very passionate, only you can help me kinda song. MsSherlock posted the lyrics just back in the thread. I think it was all part of playing her. (And no orchestra behind him! It must have been piteous.)

This whole tweet may be the most honest thing we have heard out of CN's mouth so far.

It's heartening to see she had occasional flickerings of recognition, yes ;)

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that so he would not have been taught english grammar or spelling as a child.

  • #152
That is what editors are for. To correct those mistakes.
Call me old fashioned. I believe a real writer does not require an outside editor. Not unlike uneducated ex-athletes, for example, who "write" bios and need someone to basically write/edit the whole thing for them. As a poster said previously, the internet is full of DM type writers. Value = Zero.

Re: the letters

So is the consensus that MB held them up to the glass for DM to read? Is this even allowed?

I think he would have been educated in both French and English. Just French is what is spoken predominantly.

And btw, I spent 6 years in that school before it became a French school.

He referenced in a letter a lawyer visit and someone coming to take the letters away.

I don't think so. If that were the case, how would DM have tokens he saved from the letters, propped up on his window sill in jail?

Court question - are jury members entitled to a certain level of privacy? I mean, if I was on the jury for this trial and grasped the depth of this circle's total lack of respect for authority, I would actually be a bit concerned for safety...

  • #158
I just have to say that if DM wasn't such a psychopath and lived a life where he never harmed anyone he might have become a successful writer.

If Harlequin opened a comedy division!

He is apparently growing a beard waiting for his lawyer to visit, so I think that squashes that avenue...

Assuming DM's mother is a witness for the defense, I think we all might get a glimpse into the "why is he the way he is?" question.
