Bosma Murder Trial 05.02.16 - Day 43

I find it hard to peg MB...yet. I do have some empathy for a mother who might perceive her son has been wrongly accused, and who responds by circling the wagons and providing support as she sees it. DM is wildly, wildly manipulative and a mother is perhaps willing to fool herself longer than some. This has to be a nightmare for her. He is her only child. But, granted, everything she's known to have done so far raises at least a little contempt.

I may have had a little sympathy for her as a mother if she wasn't part of wiping finger prints and if she didn't continuously and knowingly break a court order.

Hey I waffle on MS all the time. The more I hear about DM manipulating things, I even start to question the cook out pics and everything else DM had MS do. Can't figure out why MS would have been happy the morning after- I'd like to hear the answer to that one, but the contents of the letters are making me wonder about MS's involvement....again. MOO

I do too. And then I remember that he was pretty much a useless member of society prior to this, chose to not say a word and hid a gun that's never been located so at that point I really don't care what his culpability was, I am fine with both of them being convicted of first degree murder.

Probably will feel the same when the LB trial comes along.

But, granted, everything she's known to have done so far raises at least a little contempt.

I felt like you do about MB before the letters were presented, but now I have no doubt that MB is deserving of the contempt that I and others may feel towards her, IMO. I also believe that she read every last word of both CN's letters to DM and vice versa, IMO. It just makes sense to me that she would because MB is way too involved with her adult son and his situation, and while I, as a mother, can and do feel empathy for mothers of those accused of a heinous crime, I cannot relate to MB's decision to alter evidence (colluding with CN to wipe prints from the trailer), remove items from Maplegate, assist her son with contacting CN against the DNC order, and all in all obstruct an active police investigation when TB was at the time considered to be potentially still alive but missing, IMO. Those actions are not the actions of a loving and protective mother operating on instinct, IMO, they are the actions of a complete control freak who IMO must have strongly suspected the guilt of her son, DM, and who was willing and able to use others to protect his and her own long-term interests, IMO.
