Hearing all of her self-protective "I don't knows" and thinking about those letters and DM, I believe there is no way he will treat her in the same regard during her trial. He will talk and talk and talk because he is only and ever out for himself.

She's probably got more "goods" on him from the other two murders so I think he'll support her in her trial and just let her move on with her life if she is acquitted. Like he said....these two deserved each other.
