In my experience, cross examination changes everything. That's how the system works

And also, MS said DM had TB on a sheet? How could DM move TB alone? I guess it's possible but it would take a few minutes. Was MS taking all this time to park the Yukon and gather his thoughts? It just seems odd

Do you think it's possible MS gave this statement to police after his arrest and the crown based their evidence on his statement? It's astounding how his testimony lines up with the evidence.

Still trying to catch up so it may have already been pointed out.

If this is NOT the statement MS originally gave to LE, it will most definitely be pointed out by cross.
If it IS the same thing he's been saying all along, that DM is the one who shot and burned TB (and this is what he said to MM as soon as DM was arrested), then I suspect it's likely true. Then again, I've always assumed it was DM that shot Tim.

Not buying MS's story, but wanted to say it has been mentioned before that DM doesn't like to be challenged. Trying to think of the guy doing a deal with WM who said that about him. He has a temper I believe. So maybe TB said something to challenge him. Made him feel dumb. So he decided he would shoot him. IMO

Imo, it totally makes sense to conceal their vehicle from the people from whom they are about to steal a truck. The description of the truck would be the starting place for police to look for the thieves who took it after it was reported stolen. Without a vehicle, what did they have to follow up on? A description of 2 guys? DM thought he had himself covered by using the burner phone, which couldn't be traced to him. Little did he know that it could be matched up to HIS phone's locations through the night. Who would have thought of that?

Just because Bobcat was chosen by DM as the pullover point, doesn't mean that is where TB was shot. He could have been shot anywhere/anytime along the way, no?

Well, my point isn't "why" they would hide the truck, it was more why would they hide the truck, only to walk up a driveway with the Bate phone records on Tim's phone and make themselves even more suspicious? Perhaps they thought that phone couldn't be traced to DM. We now know they were wrong.

Hide the truck and meet in a public place (say, a Tim Horton's or any business parking lot on Wilson? Maybe. Hide the truck, walk up a long driveway at 9 pm on a Monday night with no car in sight and not having covered your tracks? Pure stupidity.

Scroll up a few posts. Someone pointed out the Firefighter style lift could be done perhaps.

Why I'm asking about the incinerator details is because it appears that the body was on the truck bed at some point.... Based on the multiple splashes in the well, and the luminol photo of the rear gate.

It's entirely possible the bloody seats, carpet and seat belts left behind traces when DM and MS stripped the truck and put those items in there for burning at the farm.

ETA: Ugh, I have my trucks mixed up. The blood was in Tim's truck - they didn't put the stripped interior in Tim's truck. Nevermind me, I'm confusing even myself.

He put them in the red Ram that had a cap on it.

At the farm while they were there for about an hour? That would be my guess.

Unsure, but someone on WS said there is a shower at the hangar too.

Also, text message "Incoming message "reaching you now, ete 20mins, bring change of clothes" on May 5, 2013. Message was deleted. Apr 14, 2016"

Change of clothes to go back to steal or to clean up blood. Different day but same applied IMO

I agree. I wonder if DM put TB in the bed of the truck and then backed the truck up to the incinerator to get him in. Would be somewhat easier than lifting him from the ground.

Very plausible.

@susanclairmont @AdamCarterCBC it's a purplish pink. Redish.

Purplish pink is actually a maroon or burgundy, which many people call purple or plum. I only know this because I'm a wedding invitation designer and I've had this color discussion at least 400 trillion times with brides. :) (the most picky people on the planet, when it comes to color, even when they're wrong about what a color actually is, lol). If it was a gingham or a plaid print, that blurs the color even more, as it's sort of an optical illusion.

What time did MS's phone go offline compared to the time of the Bobcat video?

Don't know if you got your reply or not. Interested to know where you're going with it.

billandrew spreadsheet "9:20 pm Smich phone pings in Ancaster, final communication on May 6."

"9:47 pm Pickup truck and SUV arrive at 585 Oak Park Rd, Brantford, stop along shoulder of road. Ex 99: Plaxton report, videos
9:51 to 9:56 pm Small flashes of light seen by vehicles. Could be lighter, cigarette, cell phone, reflective object, etc"

Wow ! That is a big development. Will this case ever get fully done ? Does that mean that all witnesses could be re examined ?

I'd like to ask them if they'd ever do it again :)

Look at the economics of this grand idiotismo. So he needs to pay the mechanic hell knows how much and the mechanic could be making $$$ for him elsewhere in the meanwhile, he messes up the red truck that he could otherwise sell to offset the costs of actually purchasing a diesel truck. He gives MS and a number of other idiots tools to blackmail him. He should have also accounted for the eventuality of getting caught.

It makes 0, absolutely 0 sense.

I mean, how long does it take for somebody to figure out that sometimes it's better to just pay than " diy". Unless one enjoys the process.

Absolutely, utterly senseless.

IMHO, DM is scum of the earth (I know there are far better descriptors), a psychopath, who believes he is entitled to anything he desires. He wanted that truck, but he also thoroughly enjoyed stealing anything he wanted, and he also discovered that he thoroughly enjoyed killing LB and his own father. In his world, all that matters is DM.

How sick, how utterly tragic and senseless.
