He's trying to charactize and the Judge has already put a stop to it earlier. I don't think Goodman is too impressed today

Most rappers look down upon rappers who write about it having never lived their experiences. They are posers. MS is not a poser. Maybe they should look at the music video he was involved in. Put that up on the screen.

Wow! So MS was 20 years old when he quit school and he was in grade 10, most kids are 15 in grade 10. It reminds me of an old joke. What were the 5 hardest years of MS's life? Grade 9

I think that was a reporter error. I don't recall AC tweeting that. I haven't read the rest of the other reporters yet. But what I got was, MS dropped out of high school, then started selling drugs around the age of 20.

<modsnip> the oft-repeated accusation that MS could NOT POSSIBLY have forgotten such details. Really? He absolutely could not have? I know some posters defended the possibility of real memory loss as a result of trauma. However, this idea was mostly rejected by others. Also, it doesn't go far enough, in my opinion.

If MS really DID panic one night and haul off down the road and through the woods to bury the gun, it is not only possible, but in my mind probable, that he couldn't point to the exact spot again. Have you guys actually BEEN in a forest at night? It's nearly impossible to even see your hand in front of your face.

Additionally, if you were in a panic, thinking about what happened, what might happen, what to do next, what's going on, etc. it's very, very easy for me to believe that he was on auto pilot and doesn't remember details.

One last thing: I have ADHD. I can forget absolutely everything about a conversation or an event within minutes of discussing or experiencing it -- even traumatic events. But sometimes I don't. I don't know why, and I do not do it on purpose. In fact, since I am not always demonstrating utter stupidity or cluelessness, people are often incredulous when this happens. There is skepticism or even suspicion. It's not fun.

In any event, I just wanted to point out that just because you haven't experienced something or done something a certain way, it does not lend credence to the idea that one who does is necessarily lying or insincere. He or she MAY indeed be lying, but such a conclusion drawn solely from an unfamiliar experience is not logically supported.

Yep. He may score points in the "look at my wit" department, but he is not doing himself any favours by getting cocky in front of the jury when you consider he is generally an unfavourable person on trial for first degree murder.

I agree. He is starting to reveal himself.

So have I lost my mind? Did Dellen Millard's lawyer just admit to premeditation?

sure sounds like it to me! What is Sachak's goal here???

I think MS's ego is starting to show and IMO he should be careful with his comebacks. Humility would be his best friend now.

All MOO.

I think he should be all that he can be and throw caution to the wind.

Sachak is pressing Smich on exactly when and where that was written. Smich can't say exactly.
by Adam Carter 10:48 AM

"When you're talking about a 380, you're talking about a Walther PPK 380, right?" Sachak says. Smich turn to Goodman and says there's an issue with this. Goodman sends the jury out.

What is the issue with this that Judge Goodman has? Does it have to do with another trial?

So why is Smich testifying about checking for Onstar if that's a strictly GM product and they were looking for a Dodge Ram and test driving IT's Ram? :waitasec:

surely Dodge gas an equivalent of "on star" ??

Thanks, matou! I missed the news so was curious to see MS's rap. I had to laugh when he rapped the line about "Blues Clues". It would be interesting to know how people react to MS's rap performance and rap lyrics. I'd love to know the ages of those on the jury. Someone in the media tweeted about MS's dangerous expression in his eyes (or something to that effect), and while I don't see him as looking threatening in the video, I can see how some people may. The rap evidence could either be dismissed as unimportant to the jury or disturbing to them depending on their exposure to rap and their tolerance for it, IMO.

It looked like MS was reading the lyrics as he performed and he didn't come across in the video as particularly polished or confident. I've said it before, MS's rap stuff is not damaging to him on its own, IMO, but I do believe some people could see it differently. It was also interesting to hear his voice. When the rap lyrics and video are considered with all the other circumstantial evidence against MS, I can understand it potentially having a more negative impact on the jury.

All MOO.

Exactly the impression I got ... he is simply reading lyrics ... his heart isnt even in it .... it's just words .... if he was trying to look scary and dangerous he failed ..... he is not even a good pretender .... lame lame lame

With apologies to Mark I would say .... give it up dude .... a gangsta rapper you are not .... pick a new career.

.

Wow ... MS is now instructing the judge

Adam Carter "When you're talking about a 380, you're talking about a Walther PPK 380, right?" Sachak says. Smich turn to Goodman and says there's an issue with this. Goodman sends the jury out.

This is a sign that MS is unravelling. IMO. (Asking the judge to help him out) from the big bad lawyer who is asking him questions.

I really don't get the impression he's unraveling at all and that's annoying NS IMO

To me it's like if someone was an artist who specialized in child photography got charged with for a child molester, I think people would want to take a closer look at some of their photos and maybe question the ones that see, to address the same subject as the crime.

If his raps were about cop killing, or racism, or degrading woman, they wouldn't be relevant here, but art made by him about having a gun, people being scared of him, bravado, killing, or running and hiding from the cops, all seem fairly relevant and may possibly be an insight into his mind.

Absolutely relevant.

IMO, Sachak's "strategy" at this point is to antagonize MS for as long as possible in the hopes of provoking MS to "snap" (scream / have an outburst, etc.). This can only benefit DM's case if the jury sees MS as a violent aggressor. It's a last ditch attempt at a defense... a "hail mary" play that will almost certainly fail, but could (albeit unlikely) change the dynamics of the case if it's successful.

I think Sachak has a few things in his back pocket that he is gonna pull out once he has MS loosened up.
