I am thinking Smich better have his lies - er, his version - in order, because he is about to get tested. If NS is smart, he will try to get all his questions in today, so MS doesn't have a chance to sleep on his answers.

IF it is the truth MS will handle it well, I think.

Smich marks on the map where Millard stopped the #Bosma truck, just slightly past the laneway.

Millard kept the #TimBosma truck on Book Road

It was during his testimony with TD that he said that I believe. So DM stayed on Book Rd but did a Uturn?

  • #263
MS said that DM got a text from his friend that they couldn't find it and that they were parked around the corner.

Nothing at all like what Sachak is trying to pass off as a bad story. Trying to confuse the story and the jury. It was a perfectly good story, even if not true.

To try to discount it this way shows that it probably was the truth and that DM was most likely the only person in the vehicle with TB when he was shot.

Oh, OK. I missed the part about "they were parked around the corner", meaning the fictional friend, I assume? I didn't see that part in Carter's tweets. I just saw his friend couldn't find the Tim Horton's.

There actually is a Tim Hortons right around the corner from Tim's house

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Sup...f0b46abcaa4fb4!2m2!1d-80.0203562!2d43.1963382

Yes, there is a Tim's nearby. But the imaginary friend who dropped them off at TB's couldn't find it, and so came back to the place where he'd dropped them off. Is that so difficult to imagine for Mr. S? In any case, I wonder if... in the storyline... the 2 trucks went into the Tim's drivethru along the way, considering how that had been the original intent. Would make sense, no? moo

Well that's because that's what Sachak is trying to confuse you with.

The story was told on the first day of MS's testimony with TD.

Or maybe DM backed into the lane way to turn around before Smich left. That could be the reason the neighbor saw 2 vehicles leaving like was suggested. Then headed straight down Book towards Brantford

turned from Trinity onto Book, then did a Uturn to face the other direction on Book. moo

Here's a visual of that corner for anyone still confused...

From memory, I believe it was a couple of months between May 6th and the time when the neighbour gave his police statement. Not sure why LE wouldn't have taken a statement on the day after (May 7th) when the neighbour called them?

  • #271

Yeah, I am quite familiar with the area. This will likely help others, thanks for posting. I still can't figure out how Bullmann saw two vehicles leaving his dad's property (the laneway on Book just to the east of Trinity). If DM pulled PAST the driveway, it is a rural road. Would he not just do a U-turn to head back to Trinity? Or is it just as feasible that he would BACK into the laneway, then pull out of the laneway and go left to Trinity?

I think he called the day after, when someone came to his house with a missing poster of TB, IIRC.

Is it just me or is Sachak purposely trying to pretend he doesn't understand aspects of Smich's testimony and totally changing around some of what MS is saying? I'm starting to think it's just another Sachak tactic.

Sachak asks what Millard said when he asked him to get out of the truck. "He tells me to follow him," Smich says. "Does Mr. Bosma ask what's going on?" Sachak asks.
by Adam Carter 3:45 PM

Smich says no.
by Adam Carter 3:45 PM

"This is clearly a total change in plan," Sachak says. "You being asked to get out and follow him, this was not the plan." Smich says the plan was to scope the vehicle.

Jury returning for more cross-exam of accused killer Mark Smich at the Tim #Bosma murder trial.

#Bosma jury coming back

We are back. Sachak asks what Millard told him when he got out of the #Bosma truck.

What does Millard tell you when he asks you to get out of #Bosma truck? He tells me to follow him. He doesn't say where.

Back. Sachak asks if Millard said anything to him about getting out of Bosma's truck. #Bosma #TimBosma

"He tells me to follow him...he doesn't say where," Smich says. Sachak asks if there's any discussion with Mr #Bosma at this pt.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 50s51 seconds ago Toronto, Ontario
Sachak: This is clearly a total change in plan, right? Smich: I don't know exactly what the whole text message thing meant. #Bosma #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Smich says Millard said roughly that his way they could part ways after the test drive without returning there. Can't remember exact wds

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 6s6 seconds ago
Sachak asks what Millard's tone of voice was. Smich says he wouldn't have used his name and he can't recall the tone.

Susan ClairmontVerified account ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
Smich says no discussion he hears between Millard and #Bosma. This is a total change in plan, right? Smich says plan was to scope.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 48s49 seconds ago
Dell's tone of voice? "He wouldn't have used my name and tone of voice I'm not exactly sure." Smich says he's "kind of tired right now."

The story doesn't make sense. So the fictional friend drops them off for a test drive and heads to Tim Horton's. At this point it has been decided that DM and MS want to go on the test drive while fictional friend would rather have a coffee. But the plan would be for DM an MS to return to the field after the test drive. So who does the fact that fictional friend can't find Tim Horton's change things? Is he lonely? Scared? Why would he text DM and what would that change? Wouldn't fictional friend just go to the predetermined rendezvous point and wait for DM & MS to return?

Not that it matters because its a lie either way, just doesn't make sense is all.

Sachak asks what Millard's tone of voice was, Smich says he doesn't know.
by Adam Carter 3:47 PM

Sachak asks if this seemed off to him. Smich says no. "Dell does lots of random things," Smich says.
by Adam Carter 3:47 PM

Smich says it was odd from the beginning to go at night to test drive the vehicle.
by Adam Carter 3:48 PM

"You didn't have a licence though," Sachak says. Smich says yes. "He's given me the keys to his vehicle before to drive."
by Adam Carter 3:49 PM

Smich says he also drove things at the hangar without a licence.
by Adam Carter 3:49 PM

"Your account of events of what happened is Dell shot Mr. Bosma in Mr. Bosma's truck," Sachak says. Smich agrees.
by Adam Carter 3:50 PM

"Minutes before, he's exposed his face and tattoos to three potential witnesses, and minutes later he's shooting someone?" Sachak says.
by Adam Carter 3:51 PM

Sachak asks if it doesn't seem odd for Millard to ask someone without a licence to drive behind a "murder scene."

But we already know DM steals lots of things and has no regard for property or the law. Pretty sure he wouldn't care if MS drove his truck without a licence IMO.

This was added in. MS wouldn't know WHEN the shooting occurred, as he only found out at Bobcat that TB was dead
That is of course if we're going by MS' version of the story
