Supersucker is about 2.3 km away from the Bosma home, Sachak says. The drive to get there would be pretty quick, he adds.
by Adam Carter 2:18 PM

Smich says they looked for a place to park, and Millard found a spot on a side road by the Bosma home.
by Adam Carter 2:19 PM

Sachak says the idea was to leave the Yukon and "scope" the place with the truck. "Dellen wanted to make sure wherever he parks, his GMC Yukon is not visible," Sachak says.
by Adam Carter 2:21 PM

Smich says that's not totally correct, because on the test drive the day before, they just parked across the street.

Thanks for picking it up meterclicks, I got tied up (figuratively, of course). Would you like to continue or for me to pick it up again?

  • #203
He's going to be screwed if he can't explain almost 20 minutes between the Super Sucker and the Bosma driveway. And it doesn't sound like he's on a track to explain it.

If you could take it that would be great!

Sachak suggests they were leaving the Yukon in order to go "scope" the truck. #Bosma

"I believe we drove past the residence, then we looked for a place to park from there," Smich says.

Sachak suggests the reason for not driving the Yukon onto the #Bosma property is obvious. Smich agrees.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Millard wants to make sure the Yukon isn't visible to the people whose truck they were scoping? Sachak says.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
Smich says no, they parked in the open at Igor Tumanenko's the day before.

Pierce Lang ‏@piercelang_tv 1m1 minute ago Hamilton, Ontario
Dellen wanted to make sure that wherever he parks his Yukon is not visible to anyone he might be scoping. MS says that's not true. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Smich: "I believe we drove past the residence...and then we looked for a place to park." At Tumanenko test drive, just parked in front.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
"If you drive the Yukon onto the driveway," Sachak suggests the homeowners would be able to ID the truck thieves. Says reasonable inference.

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 45s46 seconds ago
But Millard had a lot of vehicles, Smich says.

Sachak says that someone could see the plate of his GMC if he had gone onto the driveway. Smich says it was Millard's plan to "keep it a little out of the way."
by Adam Carter 2:24 PM

Sachak now showing a map of the area by Book Road and Trinity Road near the Bosma home.

Got it, thanks again meterclicks!

It should be explainable with 7mins walk to the house, time in the driveway to look at the truck, stop to get Yukon. Then remember it was reported they want the wrong way on Book rd for how long before turning back onto Trinity. 20mins should be easily explained

Millard had a cover that would blur his license plates, Smich says. But Sachak says the #Bosma family would be able to see the plate

The problem gap is from when the Yukon was seen on the way to Bosma's (8:46 pm) and time the accused arrived in the Bosma driveway on foot (roughly 9:05). That's 19 minutes for a 2 minute drive and a 5-7 minute walk.

Sachak says Millard parked the Yukon at the edge of a dirt driveway on Book Road. Smich agrees.
by Adam Carter 2:27 PM

Sachak now drilling in more about exactly where Millard parked on this laneway. He's getting Smich to draw it on a map.

Not if they first drove past the Bosma driveway then came back and found a place to park, first.

The one across the street sort of coming off of the straight driveway??

You would still have at least a few mins in the driveway during the meet and greet. Then looking at the car. Lets say 5mins would seem logical. Stop in the field 1-2mins. Then drive up the wrong way up Book for 2-3mins then back down trinitiy. That is 17mins before getting back to Trinity leaving 2mins to pass Super Sucker.

Sachak just said "Mr. Bosma got out of the driver's side" when talking about Millard. Smich shakes his head at him. "Excuse me?"
by Adam Carter 2:32 PM

Sachak says Millard and Smich get out, walk up the driveway and towards the Bosma driveway.
by Adam Carter 2:33 PM

Smich says two people in the driveway greeted them. Said he also thought there was a dog there.

Sachak says Millard wasn't wearing a hoodie or a hat. Smich says he doesn't think so.
by Adam Carter 2:35 PM

Smich says he thinks he pet the dog, and then Bosma came out. Sachak says Millard got into talking distance with Sharlene Bosma and downstairs neighbour Wayne De Boer.
by Adam Carter 2:36 PM

Sachak says Millard shook Bosma's hand, Smich says he can't recall that.

I realize it was a Freudian slip, but what a horrible one to make.

MS was screwed from the start IMO. I still say they both get first-degree. I think Sachak's best hope is bringing down MS because I'm not sure he has much to save his own client DM.
