Hi all, new here. Not sure about all the guidelines and rules for the forum but I came across this and just thought it was interesting as I read somewhere on here that Patsy said JonBenet had been seeing a therapist and because SA in JBR's case has been much discussed. Of course I'm not saying this person is involved (although I asssume BPD will at least check for a possible connection) but just to point out how even if there was SA it could easily have been done by a relative outsider unrelated to the murder. This person is suspected of doing this at least as early as 1999 which is a reminder how long that type of crime can go undetected.

Therapist Charged with Sexual Assault on a Child; Detectives Searching for Additional Victims

BOULDER, Colo. – The Boulder Police Department has charged a man with sexually assaulting at least two children and believe there could be more victims.
Mark A. Hochwender, 72, was arrested yesterday, March 8, and charged with two felony counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in position of trust-pattern of abuse. Hochwender was in his 40s when these crimes occurred. His photo can be seen here.
The victims, who were juveniles at the time, came forward after they became adults. The victims told detectives the incidents occurred when they saw Hochwender as their therapist between August 1999 and the present day at Hochwender’s home office in the City of Boulder and in the City of Westminster. This was a long-term investigation involving multiple families.
Anyone with any information related to this investigation is asked to contact Detective Lutz at [email protected] or 303-441-4374 reference case 20-11516. Those who might have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers through P3 Tips Mobile
As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.

Interesting. The article doesn't say whether the victims were male or female. If they were female, he needs to be looked at in the JBR case.

Still, child sex predators are a dime a dozen, so it's a long shot.

bugis,
If this guy is connected to JonBenet then it will blow the case wide open as BPD will want his records scrutinized.

AFAIK both JonBenet and Burke were seeing therapists.

Members on the Grand Jury might have had sight of the reason why JonBenet was in therapy, that's pretty young for a child, never mind JonBenet being able to understand why the nice therapist wished to chat with her?

The big question is: did the grand Jury link JonBenet's therapy sessions with the surrounding context of her death?

Was the Child Abuse True Bill charge a consequence of JonBenet's therapist advising John and Patsy to police the company JonBenet kept?
