Someone was wondering earlier why, after resorting to the gun, BSL would not have still left Mickey in the cane field, if that was truly his original plan.

I just had a thought -- maybe he feared someone had heard the gunshot and would come to investigate. I guess it was the middle of the night and probably quite a remote spot, but ... maybe.

I do not blame the bio mom in any way...
I want to know how old BSL's mother was when she got pregnant with him...
and then again I don't.

I imagine she was young...
HOPEFULLY 20 something
but that is still young IMO

Brandon had a lot of nerve trying to put his sister in Texas on a guilt trip by saying " I can't believe what I'm reading that you told the cops after all that we been through...but I forgive you." He ought to be begging for her forgiveness in that letter for getting her involved with something unlawful to begin with! He sealed his own fate, not her.
I think I said weeks ago that IMO this was part of his MO...
dragging innocent people into his web...:maddening:

I wonder what he meant about all they have been thru. It sounds like it could be a threat or it could be that they have been thru alot that developed some deep trust between them.

It is also extremely fascinating to attend an annual Angola Prison Rodeo. Held each weekend in October, and I think one weekend or so in April (Spring rodeo)...thousands of people from near and far stream into the prison grounds. Actually, a very beautiful prison, year-round. Pristene landscaping, artistic murals...the entrance museum (filled with prison history and artifacts), so cool!
The inmates are contestants in the events of the rodeo. Non-traditional rodeo events, such as 'Dead Man's Poker' (?) and the finale 'Guts and Glory'. Food, music, and crafts, crafts, crafts! Inmates work year- round to sell their wares. We have a few from years past!
It's a family-filled fun event for all ages! And a memory to each attendee, young and old alike of prison life. Prisoners (most lifers) behind chained fences, controlled, waiting for you to inquire on a craft of their design.
Any hoo! I highly recommend the experience should you find yourself near St. Francisville, La. Talk about remote!
I think I've jus bout excited myself to go this fall!
I used to date a rodeo bull fighter who used to work the Angola rodeo every year, so I'd be there too. Loved it. I have a very pretty pair of earrings made by one of the inmates. They really make some beautiful things.

garryb, I was wondering why my questions received no reply...

RE: I answered that thread stating the BSL wasn't related to McDuff, and was told that I must not believe in Adam and Eve..

Please reread the comment. It was not meant that you did not believe in Adam and Eve, nor was the intent to offend. Sorry if you took it that way...That is one of my favorite sayings, meaning that if you believe in Adam & Eve, then we are all related...

garryb, you don't have to go to Switzerland to find a City that has a law where it is required to own a gun: I raised my children in Kennesaw, GA

Gun Ownership - It's The
Law In Kennesaw

KENNESAW, Ga - Several Kennesaw officials attribute a drop in crime in the city over the past two decades to a law that requires residents to have a gun in the house.

In 1982, the Kennesaw City Council unanimously passed a law requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition.

The ordinance states the gun law is needed to "protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants."
You lived there too huh?
Very little crime! ~at all!!!

Drastic difference from surrounding areas and "would be bad guys" know it!
That and Wild Bill~ lol

IMO... vultures and
DNA... he didn't want her found
cause he was in CODIS... he HAD to bury her.

I found myself thinking, "do I want vengeance? Do I want harm to come to Lavergne?"

The older I get the less clear the answers seem. "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord." He has already lost the rest of his life as a free being. He is now out of society, never to return.

What I would lean toward is that they should put a TV in his cell for the first month playing a non-stop loop of the public outpouring - of the families' pleas - of interviews - to show the real harm he did. Then a psychologist should go over every second of the footage with him, and record his responses. Next year do the same thing. And the year after - a solid month - until he drops his facade and starts dealing with it honestly. He needs to be psychologically broken and then helped to pick up the pieces.

Angola Prison is a self-sustaining farm city of 5,000. Has cattle, crops, etc. The vegetables are sold all over. Most inmates' first job, until they prove good behavior in a year or two, is working in the cotton fields.

Very likely today or tomorrow, Brandon will be picking cotton. He will be working hard for life; no slacking allowed.

It is extremely interesting to read all about Angola Prison.

Here's the wikipedia page.

Wow just read all about Angola. Why aren't more prisons like this? Hard manual labor for the rest of your life, now that's what prison should be like! The wardon once said "you've got to keep the inmates working all day so they're tired at night". Damn right! My mom grew up on a farm and had to help pick cotton when she was younger and she said it was one of the worse things she's ever had to too and her hands were torn up because of it. Have fun for the next several years doing that crap BSL!

But what someone was asking was, if he truly planned to leave her there when he thought she had died from stab wounds, why would he still not do that after the gunshot. (That is, assuming his story about these details is true.) There'd still be vultures and DNA, even before the gunshot.

Maybe he just was so shook up from that last attack by Mickey that he just abandoned any original plan.

Especially since BSL, was scaming her with the weapons running ruse. Which, although a lie/ruse/con, the weapons trafficking is also a very serious felony to involve her in...

A PSYCHOPATH IS INCAPABLE OF EXPERIENCING NORMAL LOVE AND EMPATHY...

It is all about 'Narcissist Brandon'...
The Christian ruse that BS Lavergne, used is reminiscent of the scene in the Longest Yard movie where Burt Reynolds attempted suicide by swimming out to the middle of a lake with intentions of drowning. Once there, he changed his mind & began swimming back. Exhausted, he began making deal$ with God, and promised him the moon. The closer he got to shore, he would lower the amount. Once his feet touched the bottom, he said, "God, you should have accepted my offer when you had the chance"..

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings.

But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

Maybe the gun wound changed his mind. Maybe it could be traced.
Interesting that initially he just planned on leaving her and not burying her. Wasn't Lisa just placed and boards put on top of her?

Yes and she was found within a few months, so he must have decided he had better bury her as soon as he had his hand tended to.

But Foxfire, you have called him both a psychopath and a narcissist. IMO, they are different.

I'd agree with the narcissist part more easily than psychopathy -- that, I'm not sure about. Maybe.

Yes, one answer suggested earlier was that the gun might be traceable.

Maybe, if Mickey did really "revive" for that final attack, it spooked him so bad he feared she might not really be dead even after the gunshot -- or it just shook him up severely and, in pain and worried about his own condition, he didn't have it in him to move her to the field just then. Then, after having time to think it through a bit more, maybe he realized that he would be "safer" to bury her.

I don't know. It's just a weird twist that someone was asking about earlier.

And yes, I think what you've described is correct for Lisa; although I heard/saw somewhere that she was actually buried "slightly", shallowly, and the boards placed over -- but only one reference to that, and not MSM.

Can a psychopath have narcissistic tendencies?

I read his confession as following the very thin line of him still claiming "accident that escalated". He doesn't say WHY and/or HOW he hit her on the bike, or what his initial motive was, why this girl is now dead, ultimately. Just that it escalated after the attempted 911 call, etc., etc.

What a creepster. I wouldn't read his letter either. Likely full of as many self-serving lies as he could pack into it.

...the way I understood it (and I am behind in reading - so I may have missed something), he went to the cane field and she popped up and stabbed him while still in the truck and then he got the gun - maybe he was too 'injured' to even get her out of the truck, let alone bury her - so he went home to take care of his (unfortunately not life threatening) injuries before he was able to finish his evil.

As far as 'guns kill people' - really? Then cars kill people, airplanes kill people, ropes kill people, knives kill people, plastic bags (his other known victim) kill people, etc... I would guess any object could kill someone - it is the person using said object that kills someone. As far as gun control, are you seriously thinking that a law abiding citizen like this SOB would not have had a gun because it would have been illegal?
