They don't have much of a case, if they have a case at all. JMK advertised his guilt, and he did everything he could to make LE think he could be the actual perp. The Karr family is looking for fast money. They all have a lose screw, or two.

Yeah, you're more than probably right. But it would make Lacy have to put all the cards on the table. We probably won't really know what was going on unless they do sue.

I'm an RDI but I don't really think the DAs office was wrong in this case. Given the sick stuff this guy was writing they couldn't afford to not take him seriously. They didn't know who he was until right before they arrested him and were worried he would find out they knew and flee. They obviously couldn't start questioning his family who might tell him. They did ask him for a DNA swab twice in Thailand and he refused. He's the one who volunteered statements to the press in Thailand that he did it causing such a massive frenzy.

Now this guy will hopefully end up in prison/mental health facility where he belongs. He was a US citizen so even if you don't care that he was molesting kids in Thailand he would probably eventually end up here doing the same things. Worth the cost I think.
