They have not seen or presumably heard from their father in 5 years & when they do see him he is on worldwide television proclaiming his love for a 6-year old girl that he killed "accidentally" and has his pants hiked all the way up to his man-🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. No therapy needed there.

Fox News is reporting that Karr won't be in Colorado for a few more days.....then can be held for 72 hours without being charged.....if Lacy actually does decide to charge him. Boulder still investigating. Lacy had him arrested to protect the public since Karr is a school teacher.....

I'm getting so confused. Is he charged with murder or not??

she's got a point there, he never did say he killed her. Not once. He said he was there, her death was an accident, and that he loved her very much. Maybe there were two people there? Is that at all possible???
I just heard her (Harmon) on CourtTV. The frustration she expressed were towards the media and not at all Karr. She spoke of "media spin". She had nothing but good things to say about Karr. In addition to what I already wrote on another thread, she also said something about him being misunderstood.

I think that there was a jump to conclusions here and that if one thinks about what he said the "I was with JonBenet when she died" can be interpreted in different ways, although in fairness, the common interpretation out there would be the most obvious one. If she speaks of "media sound bites" though, it could be that the media edited out important parts of the context. That certainly would not be the first time.

Being under arrest is differnt than being charged with a crime. There is a warrant issued for his arrest out of CO for the several counts of kidnap, murder, etc.
Once he is in the custody of the CO LE, they have 72 hours to either file charges or let him go.
He is not charged with murder at this time.

“There may be inmates in here who might take an opportunity to hurt him, so we have to be careful,” said sheriff's Chief Marc Klugman, who oversees county jails.

Oh Poor John. LOL

The Rocky Mountain News reported on Monday that the email address that helped officials track down Karr in Thailand was December251996yahoo.com, the date of JonBenet's murder.

Wudge, I absolutely agree with you. Those poor kids already carry the stigma of their dad being convicted of possessing kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬. It's hard to imagine it getting worse.
I thought he was charged with possessing kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and because he skipped out, he was never convicted of that, and IMO, that difference is an important one. Is that right or did I miss something? I say this because the presence of kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on a computer (was it 1-5 items?) would not necessarily make the owner a pedophile, IMO. When doing searches on totally unrelated material, I have, on occasion found myself face to face with images I really was not counting on (and which I am angry about having to see). I have many beefs of a political nature against all types of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 so am ill qualified to speak of this but we know that many "regular" people (well I could debate that one, but don't get me started) go looking for 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on the net. I have often wondered whether non-pedophiles who connect to what they assume to be adult 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites, don't at some time or other find themselves coming upon some kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 images. I mean does this material actually advertize itself as "kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬" on the net? I could do this "research" myself but since I can't stand any part of that industry, I'd rather not. I'm just trying to apply logic here.

So back from the digression: I am not ready to assume this guy is a pedophile on the basis of the fact that he may have had some kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 images on his computer, since one faces so much unsollicited stuff through the net. He was never convicted and could have skipped out to avoid the stress of the procedure and not because he was necessarily guilty of the charges.

In my mind, interpretation issues are not too likely, for when asked if he was innocent, Karr clearly relied: No.

Hi Hyatt, he was convicted in absentia. He had served 6 months (I believe) and was released on bail. He then absconded, and was convicted thereafter.

You're right. Can we set up a paypal account for donations to go to the Karr Sons' Therapy Fund??

Wudge I am glad that you commented on that statement. I gave some thought that Karr does not think as black and white as some of us do. In his mind there may be "no innocent" people, and the statement might not be totally an answer to the case is he an innocent man.

Just a thought here.

Along the lines of Jimmy Carter's famous admission that he had committed "adultery". (Because he "had lusted in his heart".) I am thinking along the same lines, Dragonfly. He is not "innocent"; he has unpure thoughts about little girls.

There are so many conflicting storys. His original bail was $100,000 but he was released on his own recog. after 6 months in jail. There were stipulations to his release. He then skipped town before his pre-trail Court date in Dec. I have read he was tried in absentia and also read the charges were still pending. So I dunno. Sonoma County wont make any comments.

She's frustrated with the media?
Karr spoke to an international press and denied he was innocent. Everthing else has been kept secret about him and his connection to the case. Funnily enough the only reason anyone knows anything is because he talked (and has since quieted up). Karr himself kicked up any "media spin" in the past few days.

And now she's saying he's misunderstood?

That all doesn't like a ringing endorsement for him being the real deal...or at least the real killer.

Thanks Tybee. I was thinking he was still wanted in Sonoma County to serve the sentence for his conviction, not to face the charges.

Fox News - is now reporting that a family friend says that Karr visited Boulder as part of his book research, and the visit took place after the murders.

I kind of believe this statement to be true and would explain why Sandrock felt that he had been in Boulder.

I dont have any idea which story is true. There are so many conflicting ones. But I cant imagine Karr having anything to guarantee 100k bond in 91 or the $10-$20 k it would have taken to even make bond. So I tend to believe released on his own recog without bail

A bondsmen would have tracked him to hell and back for 100k

If CO rejects him, CA will want to clear up their unfinished business with JMK. He won't be free to roam anytime soon.
