He was interviewed here on local TV News and answered "No Comment" when asked to confirm his brother's comment that he worked for JR...

I guess time will tell...
From Geta's interview with Nate:

KARR: To my knowledge, he did not know the Ramsey family, never had any contact with the Ramsey family directly, no. Even though we all did live in Atlanta, we were not affiliated in any way to the Ramseys.

Records from the Franklin County Board of Education indicate John Mark Karr worked as a substitute teacher from Dec. 17 to Dec. 19, 1996. Ramsey was found dead in the basement of her Boulder, Colo., home Dec. 26, 1996, authorities said.

Former Vina Principal Johnny Hester said that after the 1996 Christmas break, Karr continued to serve as a substitute teacher at Vina in early 1997 and throughout that year.

Records indicate Karr received his last paycheck from the school system in December 1997.

Very interesting timing, thank you. (salute)

Buzz, do we know what big events took place in Karr's life in the later half of 1996; e.g., major job change, birth of child, death in family, etc..?
I'll see if I can find anything Wudge. I know he lost a teaching job at that time.

IF Nate worked for John Ramsey, why would he lie about it? That sets off my hinky meter like crazy. JR could be excused for not remembering Nate, esp. if he was just a handyman for them, but why would Nate lie about this....just to protect his brother...or himself, too?

English, I've said this before, but I guess I'll mention it again, JMK has another brother named MICHAEL. It's buried somewhere in one of these threads, but I KNOW I read it here. So it could be Michael, not Nate. And, I'm sorry to say, Nate does not seem to aware of what goes on in his family. He didn't even know JMK was out of the country or divorced. He called him a regular family man!

ETA: I would also like to mention again that we have not heard from Nate since his interview with Greta when JMK was first arrested.

If he was into the refurbishing business at that time, he could have used the need to evaluate a potential job as a reason to be absent for a few days.
Here's alittle more on Karr in 1996

1996-1998

- At Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, records show Karr was a student from the fall of 1996 to the winter of 1998. During that time he also ran a used car business, according to Marion County Probate Judge Annette Bozeman, who often saw Karr in her office working on car titles.

- Fall 1996: Karr is hired as a substitute teacher at the high school he attended, Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ala. He worked there until school officials received complaints that he was saying things “that didn’t need to be said in an elementary class,” according to the district’s superintendent, Bravell Jackson.

Right as I posted my last post, I remembered Michael. I read that, too. A brother named Nate wasn't mentioned in that article. I wonder if Michael and Nate are the same person, by chance?

With this case, anything is possible. But I think they had different birthdays, Michael and Nate. Nate being the youngest, Michael being the oldest.

Thanks Buzz, it sounds like his career was in flux.

I read somewhere that while he worked in the used car business, he drove a DeLorean. This was in rural Alabama. I'll have to look up the link after I fix dinner...

Looks like this could be easily dug up, as to which brother it was and if he did indeed work for JR. I would hope Boulder already knows.

Just on Nancy Grace, Karrs father, and brothers now have an attorney. The attorney saying that Karrs sons are in a family photo, NOT KARR. This attorney thinks this will shed some light, photo being released tomorrow. Kids don't remember a Christmas without daddy being there.

Yikes...the plot is thickening, not thinning...and the boys might not necessarily remember an afternoon and night Daddy was gone, if he was back the next morning at some point.

Did they say who took the photos that Karr was not in?

No Wudge they did not. I'm wondering how this picture sheds light. It doesn't IMO.

How old were the boys in 1996?

Right, they were young. Someone posted their ages as 5, 4 and 3 at the time. Too young to remember, IMO.

They probably were put to bed at like 8 pm on Christmas night...Daddy might have been gone a while before they went to bed but if he was in the habit of visiting friends or something, that wouldn't be unusual...and then if he was back by the next morning...but you're right, they would be far too young to remember clearly, anyway.
