We need to find more info on JMK's mother.

His parents Wexford, and Patricis, separated in 1969, and were divorced in Clayton County, Georgia in 1973.

His mother's full name is Patricia Elaine (Maiden name Adcock) Karr,

No idea as to where she went after the divorce.

She died when he was 12. I can't recall what program that was on. I have watched so much on this this last few days.

I am sure I'm putting this in the wrong place.I really do not know where to put it.I remember reading about the LE finding a Teddy Bear at the Ramsey house after Jon Benet's death.I think they found it under the tree and no one knew where it came from. I read this at work in one of the "rag mags".We get to look through them,I'd never buy one.It may well have been the N.E. as the rest are too ridiculous to even glance at unless I'm hard pressed for reading material.It was in a story a long time ago,possible it's a year ago.If J.K. mentioned the bear thinking its a clue no one knew of~he's wrong.

The email address that helped track down John Mark Karr in Thailand was [email protected] — the date of her murder.

Those e-mails to Boulder journalism professor Michael Tracy included a now-infamous request that Tracy stand at JonBenet’s house on the anniversary of her death and say aloud a poem to "JonBenet, my love." They came from that address and were signed "Daxis," according to information given to Thai authorities by U.S. officials seeking their help in finding and arresting him.

Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul of the Thai Immigration Police said Karr told him Daxis was simply a word he invented. The search for the man now accused of JonBenet’s murder began when Tracy sent e-mails from Daxis to independent investigators in Colorado Springs. When the e-mails reached the Boulder District Attorney’s office, prosecutors found enough in them to warrant a serious look at Karr as JonBenet’s killer.

Details of Karr's Involvement Still Under Wraps

John Mark Karr lunched on a bologna sandwich, carrots and an apple in the Los Angeles County jail Monday, a day after he washed down seafood with champagne aboard a flight from Thailand to face charges in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey nearly 10 years ago.

Karr, who spent the day in the facility that once housed O.J. Simpson, "Nightstalker" Richard Ramirez and actor Robert Blake, is scheduled to appear in court early Tuesday to announce whether he will oppose extradition to Colorado, where Ramsey was murdered Dec. 26, 1996.

Karr has told reporters that he was with 6-year-old JonBenet when she died in the basement of her Boulder, Colo., home. He said her death was an accident.

Prosecutors in Boulder have declined to provide details of their evidence suggesting Karr's alleged involvement in the Ramsey murder, one of the most sensational crimes of the last decade.

Media organizations including The Associated Press on Monday asked a judge to unseal the arrest warrant and other documents involving Karr. The filing noted previous mistakes in the Ramsey investigation and said there was "great public interest" in whether Karr's arrest was "yet another `mistake,"' The Associated Press reported.

In an Aug. 15 order, Boulder County District Judge Roxanne Bailin ordered case documents sealed, saying disclosure could jeopardize the investigation. Monday's filing asked her to consider releasing edited versions of the documents if she ruled against their full release.

On the international flight, Karr was flanked by an investigator with the Boulder County district attorney's office and federal immigration officials. None could be reached for comment.

The 41-year-old school teacher's return to the United States was voluntary, and he was not handcuffed before or during the 15-hour flight from Bangkok, Thailand.

Karr, once detained on charges of possessing child , in recent years apparently traveled to Europe, Central America and Asia in search of teaching jobs. He taught in at least two Thai schools.

WOOD: I don't know that it's 100 percent conclusive, Larry, but I have always believed and I believe that District Attorney Lacy concurs that this is, in fact, in large part a DNA case.

There's been a lot of speculation. I know that a lot of people reference Dr. Henry Lee talking about the DNA not being of good quality. Dr. Lee was not involved in the investigation in 1999 when a second spot of blood found in JonBenet's underwear was tested.

And from that blood spot a DNA sample was extracted that was tested. It was consistent with other DNA that had been found on her body and it was of such quality that Mary Lacy was able to get it certified in late 2003 and entered into the FBI national database.

So, there is strong DNA evidence in this case. It's not Ramsey DNA. I believe it's the DNA of the killer. It remains to be seen what information we'll learn with respect to Mr. Karr or any other individual regarding the DNA. We just know it's not the DNA of the Ramseys.

OK this is probably dumb, but I was thinking about something I read on another thread about this Annie Muss person who posted on Jameson's a long time ago. I wasn't even around back then so I don't know much about all of that.

Annie Muss said something about the supposed killer having a fixation on the show Twin Peaks and SBTC maybe having something to do with the show. (SBTC might = Say Backwards The Clue) That phrase is something the midget would go around muttering on Twin Peaks in the dream sequences.

In the above article Karr says he made up the name Daxis. Alright now spell it backwards and you have Sixad.

Maybe Sixad = Six AD. After all, he was using the supposed date death of JBR for his e-mail addy so why not make up a name referring to her age as 6 at death, or whatever the AD might stand for.

How do we KNOW that Karr had such a bear? The article I read said that a former student of Tracey's told reports that Tracey once told his class that somebody sent him a picture of themself as a child with a bear like the one found in JonBenet's bedroom. The media took the student's statement and extrapolated it to say that it was Karr who sent the photo but that is not what the student said. Has Tracey said that it was Karr who sent the photo?

There is a lot of really bad journalism going on right now and we sleuthers need to be careful not to do the same thing.

And so to former prosecutor Murphy, I would tell her don't make these accusations against my client or your title will change to defendant Murphy. This is not open season on the Ramsey family to discuss this case and in the process to once again make false accusations of murder against them.

I am just mulling this fruitcake's "confession" in my head and wondering "Why" he would want to be caught and brought back to Boulder, and I am trying to think like a raving nutter here, so bear with me....

What IF this guy has vested so much of his energy, his life in this little JonBenet (whom I heard clearly refer of her in the present "I love JonBenet") that in order to "complete" his life, he must go back in time to that moment. How to do that? He needs to be the perp and reinact the scene. He says he was "with her when she died". He must go back.

OK--really sowing my Cocoa Puffs now--so he finds out everything he possibly can about her crime and interjects himself in it, every which way, to become a suspect.

BUT why??? So he can "return" to the scene of the crime. To her place of death. He can tell the police how it happened, but he needs really to "show" them.

They will take him to the house to "reinact" that fateful night. This guy will be in his glory, or maybe just maybe he thinks he can go back in time and "save" her. Perhaps as he was unable to save his baby girls. Maybe this stems from that horrible loss.

Hey, it's late. I'm outta chocolate, and I bet my theory would be popular to at least one crackerjack.

Perhaps he is the perp. Perhaps he KNOWS the perp and has twisted it to be him. Or perhaps he's a couple of cans shy of a six-pack that just WANTS the attention. Maybe he is even "crying out for help" before he really does hurt some sweet child.

All this speculation is making me thirsty. Rats! It's too late to have a PEPSI.

I need to add that I am too chicken to listen to the JMK tapes. I'm afraid I will have nightmares! Are they really horrible?

One thing that should be noted is that this man tells us something about his psychological mindset by telling us that he is essentially stunted at an adolescent level. He says he can appreciate people like Michael Jackson and the way in which they feel contemporaries of young people. He lost his mother, after all, at age 12 to a tragic car accident. He was then sent to live with his grandparents. I think emotionally we might wonder whether he stopped developing at that time, emotionally. That doesn't excuse the fact that he cavorts with young girls. But it does explain why he might say he doesn't belong to this world.

KING: But it does not make him a killer.

ABLOW: Well, it does not necessarily make him a killer by any means. And in fact, many pedophiles are fairly restricted in terms of what they find appealing. So the fact that he married a 13-year-old, then married a 16-year-old and is said to have romanced a 10-year-old may mean that a 6-year-old is outside sort of the constraints of his affections sexually.
