she's got a point there, he never did say he killed her. Not once. He said he was there, her death was an accident, and that he loved her very much. Maybe there were two people there? Is that at all possible???
Anything is possible at this point. This case gets a little weirder with each passing moment.

I heard on radio from several good sources that Karr is going to represent himself at his extradition hearing this morning.

Carol McKinley on Peter Boyles talk show Denver KHOW.com, this morning said it would not surprise her if AFTER this mornings hearing, there would be a charter plane to take him directly to Boulder.

You want up to date stuff on the case, Peter Boyles on from 5 AM til 9 AM each day. Go to KHOW.com link for listening to program live.

Pete has followed this case religiously from day one. He will have Marc Klaas on this morning also.

Locals who have not followed the case, are tarring and feathering Peter!!! Even has had death threats about his position on the R case.

.
Camper, I hope you are ready to intercept the motorcade heading for Boulder--check your list--video camera, road flares, roadblock horses, detour signs, CO roadworker outfit, and the STOP sign on a pole. We're counting on you.

I wanna know what size shoes/boots the guy wears and if he ever had a pair of Hi-Tec boots.
He's such a small guy I'll bet he doesn't have very large feet at all. Maybe the same size as Burke might have had in 1996? I have a 9-year-old son who wears a size 6 in men's right now. Does anyone know what size the bootprint found near JBR was supposed to have been?

Karr's calls, e-mails had case details
But other claims he made to woman paint murky picture

By Kevin Vaughan, Charlie Brennan and Todd Hartman, Rocky Mountain News
August 22, 2006
John Mark Karr's communications with a woman in the spring of 2001 included details of the JonBenet Ramsey case that fit with the theory of longtime homicide detective Lou Smit and appear to have been provided before Smit made such details public.
But other statements Karr made to the woman - including that he attended a Christmas party at the Ramseys before JonBenet's death - don't appear to match up with the facts, leaving the value of the comments as murky as so many other elements of the infamous unsolved murder mystery.

Karr's statements were contained in e-mails and phone calls tape-recorded by a California woman, Wendy Hutchens, who came into contact with him through her work with a ministry that focuses on prison inmates. Karr contacted her as part of his research on Richard Allen Davis, who is on death row for kidnapping and murdering 12-year- old Polly Klaas.

Hutchens could not be reached for comment this week. However, she told both the Santa Rosa Press Democrat and KRON-TV in San Francisco that Karr, in a series of taped phone calls and e-mails, disclosed details about JonBenet's death.

Those included allegations that he used a window in the basement to get into the Ramsey home and that, before committing the crime, he hid beneath a bed in a guest room.

This is what I want to know, as a result of his first "confession", was he ever investigated in 2001? If not, why not? If so, what were the results of the investigation?

Does anyone recall what the professionals believe is the time of death of JBR?

I read some information from a non-professional that suggested her time of death as sometime between 10PM on the 25th and 6AM on the 26th.

The window of opportunity for JMK to get from wherever he might have been on Christmas day to the Ramsey household is narrowed down. Once the family can locate "where" they were (where he was), on Christmas day, flights which were available at the time can be narrowed down.

How much time to get from where he was last known to be on Christmas day TO an airport, TO Boulder and TO the Ramseys can be estimated. Then where was he on the 26th.

It sure seems that there will be "some type" of record, VISA, banking or otherwise that could help with this. I hope that the family has someone working on it.

It appears that JMK needs some help in gathering info.

I'm proud of a woman like Lara who will dig in and look, despite her noted contempt for JMK.

True, but what if the person knew they might have to make a quick getaway? They would not want their shoes slowing them down, as too-big shoes surely would.

Camera In The Courtroom For This Proceeding. Those who can turn on CTV. They are going to be live. He is going to be driven to Boulder?? Did I hear that right?

Most people think JonBenet died about 1:00 or 1:30 am, based on the digestion of the pineapple.

I think that todays hearing may be a glimpse of what to expect from him in the future concerning any charges.

MSNBC says that he plans to represent himself.

I posted last night that I wondered if it is at all possible that he will be allowed to plead guilty making it not necessary for a burden of proof with the DA.

I don't think I can be moved into thinking him responsible for this case without the DA tying up the loose ends (what ties him to the case other than weird emails and the strange statements in Thailand)

Thank you Mrs. Mush. I changed to Court Tv.

Dragonfly, he is not representing himself. He wanted to, but due to the nature of the case he is not allowed to. (Possible capital case) This came from his attornies. However, now I'm not sure if they meant for this proceeding or when he gets to Boulder.

I'm pretty sure they said he had consented to allow someone from the L.A. County Public Defender's Office to represent him this morning.

Thanks MM...I so hope that you are correct! MSNBC has JH and PV on right now and Harmon said " I think it is imparative that JMK be taken seriously..." I really wonder what she meant by that.

PV says that Karr is extraordinarily anxious to face the charges in CO, and wants to excersize his right to do that....

They both agreed he is completly lucid and needs to be taken seriously. OK I give up...I really wonder what they see in him that we don't other than someone who inserts himself deeply into a case, and then claims to be responsible for it.

Thanks Lighthouselover, there is so much information that I get confused as to what is what sometimes.

Just on CTV, no charges filed yet. Likely he will go to Boulder with out the charges being filed.

OOOOH, thanks Dragonfly, I bet that means they know something. He must have told them something that convinced them.

Who knows, they also said (on Court TV interview) that he was "horrified" at his children becoming involved in this and that he was "anxious to confront these accusations".

The story about Karr's mother, dying in an auto accident, when he was 12, was on Larry King live. Apparently that must be a cover story that the family used to cover the mother's mental problems. Her dying in 2000 in PA is apparently the truth.

--->>>I wanted to bring this over to page two PAGE # 3 already] so that folks would not run with an innacuracy.

I would like to see the daily Breaking News thread kept to just facts, and no comment so that the pages donut run into the dead sea scrolls length so fast that WE cannot keep up with current BREAKING NEWS.

EDITED TO ADD 9:24 AM
Page two is nothing but commentary, NO BREAKING NEWS!!!!
