Not that we know of. And I think this has been an open switch, because at least some party attendees do not recall a stranger being there.

The "party" was on December 23rd. So if Karr was truly at the party, Karr he might well have rented a room somewhere in the area.
I was just listening to some of Wendy Hutchins tapes that are being played on the radio. I wasn't sure if he said on those tapes that he did in fact go to the party. I had only heard one of his tapes prior, very disturbing. If you haven't heard them, find them and listen. I heard 4 or 5. He did allude to being with RAD on a certain level when he killed Polly. He said he could see through the killers eyes or something like that. he also referred to JBR's tortured spirit and how could he tell the mother what he had done to her daughter.

News break said "karr was having a hard time, beat up by pushy reporters in Thia, the long ride, poor facilities where he s being kept, HE'S COLD. Spokesperson said, "I think he's just about the end of his rope".

THATS HOW I SEE IT! HIM AT THE END OF A ROPE. I DON'T CARE WHOSE ROPE IT IS.

Just a question if anybody knows the answer? Did someone in LE instruct this woman to tape conversations with JMK in case he "confessed" again? If so, why does she still have the tapes? Can the tapes be authenticated? And pardon me for saying, but she sounds as obsessed with JMK as he does with JonBenet. Why would she still be hanging on to this?

If there is some claim to Karr being at party, this is bottom feeding on the internet from an unreliable source. It’s a lead that should be evaluated, that’s all.

Karr has confessed.

The handwriting analysis has been credited to Karr by leading experts.

But my point was that we don’t have all of the evidence and jumping to conclusions and flat out saying he couldn’t have done it is a speculation based on limited or no facts.

I think speculation is fine and I’m sure we can all agree that we will know a lot more in a few days.
I don't think it's bottom feeding any more than discussing the other aspects that have come out in the press. ABC news obtained the tapes and interviewed the woman and some excerpts are on their website. If that is bottom feeding, fine, we have the definition. But then, for those who follow the case, how do we find news and discuss it? Just tune into CNN once a day or what? For me I prefer to look at the internet. The news breaks there faster than on TV, most of the time. The tapes first broke on KRON tv in the bay area but if not for the internet we would not have seen them for a couple of days. I saw them on the web.
I agree that we are all doing a lot of speculating but that is what all the JBR forums have done since 1997.

You can hear the tapes on the abc site. Wendy Hutchens said law enforcement did tell her to tape the phone calls, so she has 20 hours of it. ABC has 1 hour of it. They've played a few minutes of clips. She has the tapes because the police didn't believe they were either true or important. This was in 2001. I suppose they thought he was just a psycho kook, like most people do now.

I said speculation is fine.

I was responding to a claim that JMK could not have done it, based on the facts.

When the most critical evidence hasn’t even been evaluated.

I could point out numerous examples of bottom feeding although I did not imply that it was limited to the internet and that every thing on the internet is bottom feeding.

I just heard them on Inside Edition. In there, he specifically says that "it's only a theory of his" and that he's innocent. He never confesses to anything.

But before that, they had a clip about Clay Aiken and honest to God, I thought that's who JMK (if it is him on the tapes) sounded like. I kept thinking he reminded me of someone and sure enough, it was Clay.

All that aside, it's very strange that this woman has these tapes dating back to 2001 and that's the same year he starts corresponding with Michael Tracey. So one has to wonder why on earth would she have "saved" them in the off chance that his name would EVER be mentioned again?

Has anyone else noticed the lack of professionalism in the cable coverage?

The just had that woman on CNN from Court TV who was mixing JMK statements to the press with these unverified email reports from 5 years ago as if they were one and the same statment.

that is frustrating, when we have to put up with missleading info like this on CNN

I posted this back at 145, but didn’t get a response.

This is an example of bottom feeding on CNN.

This Court TV woman should not have mixed Karr’s confession to the press with these other taped confessions as if they are one in the same.

Also the statements by Ti authorities that Karr drugged JBR and picked her up from school.

For several days this was treated as fact when it had not been verified.

This is what led everyone to question the confession, which is a from of bottom feeding.

Just reported on Paula Zahn that Karr talked with officials after landing in the US. He said he got to the Ramsey house at 5 pm and was there till they came home at 10. He was there 5 hours alone.

PS Is this bottom feeding? To me it is breaking news. Karr told investigators some new details about the night of the murder.

Also, this man clearly has no lawyer...or he would not constantly be giving these bits of information.

I honestly don't think there would be this much reporting if there wasn't a bell to ring. CNN likes to report on war for the most part.

Just my recollection that there was a file open on him and they did instruct her to tape him. She said she didn't hear from LE again and they kind fo dropped the whole thing.. that is what i recall.

The crazy thing is how they just insert new developments into the coverage of their prepared story based on news that was on the internet 2 days ago. I mean Karr gave new details today and admitted he was in the house the night of the murder. It's too new to have any details.

I guess they are interrogating him, and someone is leaking it. So whichever show is on, Paula or Wolf, they mention it. Then do their planned coverage, which is expanding on the KRON and then ABC story about Wendy Hutchens and the tapes; plus the story on his childhood.

Paula now having a story on Karr's troubled life with the details we've been writing about here that we learned on the internet, but with some interviews and photos.

More news: In 1997 he got a licence to run a day care centre in Alabama. It was a 2 year licence and he didn't renew it. There were no complaints.

This must be the breaking news email I just got from CNN:

-- A source involved in returning John Mark Karr to the United States says the man accused of killing JonBenet Ramsey made unsolicited statements to law enforcement officers while being taken to L.A. County Jail.

That is significant new input, because if Karr really said that, then, without ambiguity, he places himself in the home.

A spokesman for Boulder County prosecutors later said the charges were contained in a probable-cause arrest warrant and weren't formal, the Associated Press reported. Once Karr reaches Colorado, it will be up to District Attorney Mary Lacy to decide whether to seek an indictment against Karr on those or other charges.

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle, in a statement posted on the district attorney's Web site, said he would not disclose when and how Karr will be brought to Colorado. The move will happen in the next 10 days, he said.

Somewhere in this jungle of posts JBean posted the website for the LA Jail and it had JMK listed as an inmate. If he were to be taken from the facility wouldn't his name be removed from the site????

Well where do you think CNN gets its news? Clint Van Zandt said something today that sounded like a verbatim of one of my posts.

Wudge: I found this website where he could have came up with the info.I am rather surprised this time that you think he did it after all the Battles between us on Peterson.

That would be a legitimate source. But to mix this statement with the others from five years ago and claim they are one in the same is bottom feeding.

ps

Someone claimed it was a fact Karr was at the house the night of the party, and cited these unreliable sources… then went on to claim Karr was totally innocent, because no one saw him the night of the party and this is what I originally challenged.
