What if no one wants him? Will they just keep flying him around, gitten him drunk?

Why not just go ahead and get the book signing tour on the road, untill Boulder decides it’s time to look at the intruder theory?
LOL islanders, where's Gloria, she can help with the book deal and movie rights. Oh, that's right, she's waiting for the verdict in the Scott Dyleski trial--that should happen, possibly tomorrow.

Calif. officials told of Karr in 2001

LOS ANGELES - California detectives notified Colorado officials five years ago of John Mark Karr's "apparent fascination" with the JonBenet Ramsey murder, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday.

The notification came while he was under investigation in a child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 case. It is the earliest known time that Karr was brought to the attention of authorities investigating the 1996 slaying of the girl in her Boulder County, Colo., home.

Boulder police referred questions to the Boulder County district attorney's office. A spokeswoman for that office did not immediately return a call.

Karr remained jailed in Los Angeles on Wednesday awaiting transport to Colorado, which issued a murder warrant for his arrest. He told reporters in Thailand last week that he was with JonBenet when she died and that it was an accident. His family contends he was with them in Georgia at the time of the Colorado killing.

Sonoma investigators learned about Karr's apparent interest with the Ramsey case and also that of Polly Klaas, who was murdered in 1993, according to a statement issued by the department, located north of San Francisco.

The investigators gathered information from a woman in northern California, Wendy Hutchens, that included tape recordings and e-mails with Karr. The investigation also included search warrants, forensic examination of digital media and surveillance.

Response to media inquiries on 2001 John Karr child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 investigation

Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 4:34, PM
The purpose of this press release is to provide some information concerning the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department’s 2001 investigation into John Mark Karr. Karr is the subject who is being held by Boulder, Colorado authorities in their investigation of the 1996 murder of Jon Benet Ramsey.

We have spoken with Boulder, Colorado law enforcement authorities and we will continue to work with them to be of assistance in their case involving John Karr.

We appreciate and respect the media’s and public’s interests concerning Boulder’s current investigation as well as our 2001 child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 investigation in which John Karr was arrested and charged. However, our primary concern will continue to be the need to protect the integrity of both investigations. For this reason, any comments coming from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department (including this one) will first be cleared with the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department did open an investigation into John Mark Karr in 2001. A primary initial interest to us was to investigate Karr as a potential suspect in the 1997 murder of 12-year-old Georgia Moses in Petaluma. At this point, Karr does not appear to be a viable suspect in that case.

One of the persons who provided information to us during our investigation was Wendy Hutchens. Her information included tape recordings and emails with Karr. Through investigation efforts that included search warrants, forensic examination of digital (computer) media, and surveillance, we attempted to learn about any crimes that Karr might have committed. We provided much of our case information to the FBI, who helped us with this investigation.

Ultimately, we were only able to establish that Karr committed five violations of penal code section 311.11, possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He was charged for these crimes but he fled during the time of court proceedings so an arrest warrant was issued for him. We made efforts to locate Karr to serve this warrant, but we were unsuccessful and it appeared he fled our jurisdiction to an unknown location(s). Our warrant will be served after Karr’s matters in Colorado are resolved.

During the course of our investigation in 2001, we learned of Karr’s apparent fascination with the 1993 murder of Polly Klaas in Petaluma, and the 1996 murder of Jon Benet Ramsey in Boulder, Colorado. In some writings, Karr presented ideas about what the murderers of Polly Klaas and Jon Benet Ramsey must have thought and felt.

Karr mostly spoke of Jon Benet Ramsey’s murderer in a manner that suggested he was an unknown subject, but one whom Karr was very interested in and curious about. In a few instances while he seemed to be wondering about the Jon Benet Ramsey murder, he made uncertain allusions to placing himself in the killer’s role. However, we never uncovered any "confession" statements, overt murder evidence, or other indications that John Karr possessed secret knowledge that only the murderer of Jon Benet Ramsey would know.

Besides the Jon Benet Ramsey murder in Colorado, Karr also made references to another child killing in another state, as well as a child molestation in yet another state. During our 2001 investigation, we made notification of our investigation to law enforcement authorities in all three jurisdictions. We had follow-up dialogue with law enforcement authorities in each jurisdiction.

Though we do appreciate the role of the media and the public’s interest, these cases are open investigations and we are obliged to protect their integrity. In order to provide for that need, we will continue to exercise restraint in our public statements. Any future release of information will be made by press release. Interested parties can subscribe to receive our press releases via email when they are posted. This can be done by going to the press index page on our website, www.sonomasheriff.org, and providing an email address there.

I just heard Bill Wise say on Greta that the palm print was not a match to anyone in the family. I'm getting very frustrated. I thought it was Melinda's.

well just a bit ago, she said that CO won't talk to her nor will they give her any info. Did she say that they just told her in the last hour or so?
Earlier she said that someone told her his first court appearance would probably be sometime next week.
If they take him Friday, he does not have to be put before a judge for 72 hours or next week, Monday morning.

JBean it did not sound like this was extremely new information to her, it sounded like they have not really wanted to relay any information to her. She did not say court appearance she said moving him.
When she was questioned by Greta regarding charges at one point she said "if charges are filed".

So the Boulder D.A.'s office said they will pick up Karr sometime next week. I'll go back to what I said before, "the longer John Mark Karr stays in L.A., the less the chances are that he will ever go to CO." I think CO is beginning to see that the possibility of successfully prosecuting John Mark Karr, for the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey, is rapidly evaporating before their eyes.

CO has until Sept. 6th, two weeks from today (Wednesday), to pick up John Mark Karr from the L.A. County Jail.

If CO fails to extradite John Mark Karr, he will no doubt be prosecuted in CA's Sonoma County for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges, violating release requirements, and fleeing to avoid prosecution.

Yes, John Mark Karr is delusional, but he has parlayed this delusion into notoriety, something he apparently craved, so perhaps there is a method to his madness.

Well he might have accomplished his task today. Wacky or not, Killer or not, this whole thing would sell more than a few books I would imagine.

She's changing her story and using different words that have completly differnt meanings. We should remember that for future.
Also, did she say "if they file charges" in relation to moving him? because they do not have to file charges in order to move him.

i think she is a pill.

No Greta was trying to delve into possible defense strategy asking questions trying to get anything out of JH and at one point JH ended a statement with "if charges are filed" referring to upcoming proceedings in CO.

If Karr is this far ahead of the game and doing all this for publicity for his book deal, he was crazy enough to break into the Ram’s house and kill JBR.
