I think they held out hope because the alternative was too huge.
Iin their minds there is no way Casey could kill Caylee. IMO, it would take definitive proof like this to make them see the light.
NOW, we will see what kind of people they are. I have supported them up to this point and have said all along, if the time comes that it is clear and they still deny, then they are just as lost as she is.
But I think we do not know what their position is yet, do we?

I grieve for them and I pray for that family. I am praying for Casey too.

Baez REFUSES to talk to WFTV, says they will be cut off because they tried to get him to comment outside of his office and he told them to get off his property, they kept asking questions so he said he's never talking to them again.

WFTV says DNA evidence is back from FBI (hair, dirt etc) and confirms Caylee is dead. Caylee WAS in the trunk and was not alive at that time.

Cindy leaving Baez's office, DOES look like she's trying hard to keep her composure.

Family disputes DNA test results (???!!!). Prosecutors have invited Casey to their office to talk about what happened.

Back to Jeopardy, but they will cut back in for any major developments.

I just don't think George and Cindy disposed of Caylee's body. I really don't think they would cover that up. EVERYONE that I have talked to says that a bond between a grandparent and a grandchild is special. That it is better than between a parent and child. Add on to the fact that THEY were raising Caylee and Casey wasn't. I don't buy it!

It's being reported they are in denial because of the no body no crime factor they hold tight too.
The time has come to grieve.

Excerpt from the Anthony's statement about the DNA results (from the news link above):

"After the test results were announced Wednesday, Local 6 received a statement from Anthony family spokesman Larry Garrison.

It states: "Reports surrounding the DNA of Caylee Anthony are being disputed by the family and their attorney."

Garrison said he was just told that Caylee has not been found.

The statement also said the sheriff's department never told them that the University of Tennessee was conducting tests and that has not been confirmed.

The statement also said no plea deal is being discussed."

Everybody but the Anthony's and Jose Baez knew about the Body Farm air tests? Wow. And it's no surprise (just disgusting to me) that the Anthony's would throw little Caylee away to keep up a lie.

That is exactly what they are hoping for. I think that is the whole reason they let her out. LE knew all along. (thanks to WS I learned about Melinda Duckett and that is what they had hoped for in that case as well)

The whole family is somehow involved.

I am so sad to learn of such a horrible thing.
