Virginia State Police announced on Sunday an arrest has been made in the cold-case investigation of the 1998 murder of Sylena Jo Dalton in Strasburg.

The Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations out of the Division II Field Office (Culpeper, VA) was in the area of Route 29 and Airlie Road this morning conducting a grid search related to a 1998 cold case investigation. The investigation is related to the murder of Sylenna Dalton at her residence in Strasburg, VA on July 27, 1998. Sylenna's 10-week-old daughter, Allyson Dalton, was missing at that time and has never been recovered.
